I didn't know Jesse McCartney was from the series all my children I never seen this before and yeah he was in the dream street I miss those guys now that was the best album and the song too it was great

My mom remembers this fondly! She watched AMC from its debut in 1970 until its conclusion in 2011. To this day, she still hasn’t forgiven ABC for pulling the plug.

Boy I didn't know all of that. In The UK alot of former Pop Stars from Groups like Spandau Ballet (Martin Kemp) reinvented themselves on Soaps like Eastenders. Former Members of Groups like Hear'Say (UK Popstars 2001), The R & B Girlband Eternal, Boyzone, and The Man Band Blue did very well on shows like Hollyoaks, and Coronation Street.

Also another Group that had a heartbreaking downfall was Musical Youth (Pass The Dutchie) Pete Waterman who helped Simon Cowell get his first big break, worked with them as well as The Latin Boyband Menudo. Their Manager Edgardo Diaz, was so horrific he made Lou Pearlman and Thomas "Tam" Paton and Chris Stokes look like Choirboys.

Adam was willing to enable JR’s bad behavior to win over Tad and Dixie. Maybe his problems with addiction wouldn’t have gotten so bad otherwise.

@@tiyabear no not at all and didnt you see the last episode of 2011 when Jr Dixie and Tad was in the Airport and jr told Dixie that it wasnt his father that messed him up that it was her. Tad was a self righteous bastard . Just like his wacky mom Opal.

coco xy we are literally on a video of Adam being a textbook enabler and Dixie screwed up too but she didn’t put a drink in her son’s recently on the wagon hands. Dixie’s parental shortcomings don’t make Adam father of the year.

Well first he was arrested because he tried to bribe a police officer and resisted arrest. Then he failed to show up in court after he stole his father's car to meet up with friends. He took some drugs and as he was leaving his older sister Haley (played by Kelly Ripa) who was pregnant at the time got in the car with him to talk some sense into him. He eventually lost control of the car and they ran into a guard rail. The police were called and JR had to be tested for drugs and alcohol. His drug dealer/friend gave him a clean urine sample to pass the drug test so he did, but he was still charged with reckless endangerment because of the car accident.

After Dream Street broke up, they had hoped he'd be the next Big Teen Idol after Aaron Carter but it didn't happen. I'm sure after seeing what happened to him, he's grateful.

lol Aaron Carter was really not that big though. Now Justin Timberlake was a teen idol. Also Jesse has a more successful career than Aaron.

But Jesse was successful and considered a teen idol. It's too bad the record label delayed his album for so long and Jesse eventually went independent.

@@crystalsnow1138 @Jennifer Mann This is correct; Jesse dropped three albums, one unrelease album, and an E.P. I think @Iaminage is thinking of Chris Trousdale. Chris from DS was the one everyone thought was going to be the break out star. Even prior to Chris' death, he never released any albums, nor an E.P. and only has three songs to his name.

@@danteinferno6989 I was a Dream Street fan back in the day and I even got to meet them and get their autographs. I had mixed feeling on Chris Trousdale after they broke up. I will say when I met them he seemed to be the one most engaging and talkative with the fans. After Dream Street disbanded it just seemed like Chris put the narrative out there that the label always wanted Chris to be a solo star even before the demise of Dream Street and the other boys would be nothing without the people who created Dream Street who Chris stuck by in the end. All of the other boys parents went ahead with the lawsuit while Chris' did not. I don't know if that was a personal or business decision on their part. I understand Chris had a record deal after Dream Street but was dropped due to changes within the label and never was able to really pursue music to the full extent. Even though he was on tv shows and he even auditioned for the Voice. Chris was an amazing dancer and I do appreciate the fact he moved back home to help take care of his mother when she was battling cancer. Maybe his perspective on things that happened changed as he grew up, but who knows. I always secrety hoped a reunion between Dream Street would happen, and in a little way they did after Chris passed away and the 4 other members in Dream Street sang It Happens Everytime in his memory, so I don't know how they truly felt about him.

@@crystalsnow1138 From interviews that were done in the past, it would seem the other four didn't like him. That same interview states Chris' mom wasn't really emotionally there so she sided with the producers because Chris wanted to stay. Unlike the other parents who have/had history and connections in the industry such as Jesse McCartney's mom(Ginger McCartney), Chris and his mom had no connections and relied heavily on the producers. As years went on Greg and Chris would begin to become friends again and though the other four guys would meet up often in NY as you will/can see on their social media, Chris was never included. So who's to say... Overall, I agree; I think as Chris got older, he realized some choices were made regards to his career that stifle him from succeeding, I also kind of believe he came to the terms with the fact he was never going to get his previous career back. I say this because around 2011 or so, he was doing interviews, posting on social media his music he was doing in the studio then around 2016...he stopped and didn't have that same energy. He tried rebranding himself numerous times and nothing...I think he gave up. Who knows...
