@@meshach2806 The source of that rumor is Jerry Lawler who is basically a liar and a pedophile. Elizabeth never had anything negative to say about Savage or his treatment of her during their marriage (or her other husband Carl Lubesky). The truth is that after her second divorce she was in a relationship with wrestler Lex Luger and he had the cops called on him by her for striking her in their shared home. So as far as we know, her first two marriages, including the one to Savage were fine.

I was a kid living in the Bloomington, Minnesota back in the early 1980’s and I LOVED watching these guys wrestle! I met the Iron Sheik when I was 12 years old shopping in a grocery store with my mom. Saw him and knew exactly who he was. Went up and introduced myself to him and shook his hand and talked to him and he was very nice to me. It’s very cliche, but he told me to stay in school and told me I was a nice young man. Original 'bad guy' WWE/WWF Macho Man with Elizabeth and then winning the Intercontinental title. For me that was one of my all time favorite wrestlers in his very best era. And totally agree with Ventura, that Steamboat Macho Man Mania III match is legendary. That one always stands out in my mind as well. One of the greatest bouts ever for sure.

@@nibsvkhExactly, Randy was known to be very paranoid, as well as having anger and control issues. The years of him treating her like his property eventually got to its breaking point. The constant cocaine and steroid use did not do him any favors.

It's a double edge sword. Everyone wants a protective person (even men). But when it gets to the point of being possessive, then you're scaring the person away. Feminism is alive and well. Women will do what they do and you can't stop them. And taking measures equals control, which will only make the matters worse and doing it faster.

I have to agree with Jesse Ventura here. Even to this day that match was Dynamite. It's my favourite Matt and it made me and instant Macho Man and Ricky the Dragon Steamboat fan. Macho made me love wrestling as a kid, where everybody's allowed Hulk Hogan. I was sitting there dressing up as Macho King. Or Macho Man for Halloween

She didn't go from Savage to Luger. There were 4-5 years that she was away from wrestling. She had married an attorney from Florida and converted to Judaism. Savage asked Bischoff to give her a job.
