You hear some people (few) on these threads making really nasty, judgemental comments about Andre and you can tell they haven't educated themselves about Andre's entire history from day one. Andre had to deal with extremely ignorant people all his life. People forget that he literally went out into the world by himself at age 14. Some of the things people say - say a lot about 'them'. Nobody's perfect but Andre will always be a man I truly admire, love and respect.

@lalani888blue Most people don't watch Andre The Giant when he was in his prime. He was completely different wrestler in the 70' and early 80's compared to when he wrestling with his worn down body in the late 80's and early 90's. Andre The Giant best work was before he joined the WWF.

The farm was in Ellerbe North Carolina. He once divided it between himself and his buddy Frenchie who was the ranch caretaker when Andre was away, he gave him a piece of land, and I believe he gave Frenchy's ex-wife a piece of land. We just talked and drank about everything, growing up, wrestling, travelling, playing cards, problems he had from his huge size, the tests he had in Japan😢😢😢,,things he did when not working. At one point😂😂😂 I got the giant juice when he took his shoulder strap and rapped it around my neck, lol, I felt honoured that he did that, truly honoured….. At the end of the night when he had to go, I remember to this day what I thought, “dam, I wish I could drink with him every Saturday night.” He was a smart, kind, thoughtful, gentle giant. I don’t know if anyone else felt this but after talking for a little bit you knew he was a giant but you didn’t think about it, he was a good person that’s all that counted… One of the best nights of my life… RIP big fella, hope to see ya at the big beer table…

Andre was a total JO. I saw him outside the Spectrum throw a program at a kid after he ripped it in half and all the kid wanted was for Andre to just sign the problem. The nicest thing was for Andre to just say no but this was just a nasty giant being ungrateful to the public for making him a millionaire period and this kid was only like 10.

When I was a kid in the 1970’s I saw Andre at the Nassau coliseum in Long Island ny. He was amazing. In his match he walked across the iron sheiks chest. We knew it wasn’t real but, it was awesome. For a man to walk on another man’s chest. 🙀

Back in the late 70’s Some members of Gainesville High School football team and myself were helping out with setting up the ring. We tried to peak into the locker room and Andre walked over to the vent window 8 feet up and his hand filled the whole window largest hands in the world. We about pissed ourselves😮

I was working a big television convention back in late January of 1993 in San Francisco. Tons of wrestlers were there from several promotions, and it was during this week that Andre had passed away. All the guys were talking about Andre, telling old stories from the road, and not a single one had a bad thing to say about Andre, truly a gentle giant of a man.

How good were the commentators back then!? I remember Mr McMahon, Slaughter, Bobby the Brain, man they were awesome. Heel commentators were awesome. You don’t see that now.

I was just a kid when Andre turned heal against Hogan. Even though I watched it all on the TV, I was still terrified of the new Andre. When a guy makes big strong men look small and weak, well, that’s scary.
