I realize that when playing mc i cant sprint (control key) and attack (left click) at the same time. Instead, mac just makes it a right click instead. Some guy online recommended using karabiner so thats why i came here. plz help me. i would like to sprint and attack at the same time. thx.

I'm impressed how much you've done with karabiner, but my two simple questions were not answered. I've been using it on OS 10.11 and earlier for many years, but migrating to 10.13, where I make the semi-colon become delete key, this version of karabina has no colon key in the simple key list (I use it to delete forward). AND holding down command doesn't make the semi-colon work again. I'm 80 yrs old (been using computers since 1964 punching cards for Fortran II), but I need help with this simple task. I got on Github, hoping to find a forum, but got completely lost. Jesse, if you see this, can you steer me to the right place?

Rocket science to me. I want to create key combination and map them to a key on the keyboard. For example. I want to take say the letter A to execute " Control+Option+S" . I'm using "macros" within another app where I can assign a shortcut key.

I'm new to using MacOS. My first issue with it, is that the clever control+a/control+e shortcuts to jump to the beginning/end of the line, work when the current keyboard input is in english, but not when it's Hebrew. Can Karabuyner fix that?

I wish you could share how to **transform the backspace key** on my macbook pro (2022 using macOS 14 Sonoma) to work like a **delete** key in windows? e.g. I would like to use the right-hand-side command + backspace to work as delete. Is that possible, if so how ? 2. I would like to use the back-slash "\" key to "#" as I use markdown and pressing two keys to get "#" is a productivity killer for me. Hi I came here because I read that the only way for keypad arrows, ins, del, etc. to work for external 101 style keyboard with my macbook pro is to remap these - it seems like numlock is always on and I use the keypad with numlock off to navigate vscode, etc. What do people do about this? Could this be my USB brand keyboard or am I the only one still on the planet that uses the arrows i.e. 5160 old style keyboard. I'm going to try this download but I'm scratching my head as to why numlock off just doesnt work. And in case anyone says check "mousekeys" - that works fine, I can turn those on and use arrows to move the mouse. What I want is old fashion USB 101 keypad arrows to work on a mac (that doesn't have them).

hello, after I installed karabiner. the mac sees my bluetooth keyboard as an Apple keyboard and won't let me setup ''Change Keyboard Type'' also disabled the keyboard bluetooth power saving mode. I uninstalled the app but the problem still remains. how can I reset keyboard settings and delete all files from the past.

I like the dual-use of CAPS but on my machine, the delay in Vim is like 500-600 ms. Has that been your experience or should I look further into it?

Couple questions, what editor is that? FCP X? How did you pop up the chrome window at the same time as shrinking your other one to match it? How did you rip the computer spoken sound straight to your editor? Or were these editing magic? It was so seamless and I hate having to find assets/pics online and save them separately and then drag em into the editor, so if there's a legit way to do what you did at the beginning would love to hear that, thanks! Also thanks to you I was able to remap my wireless USB keyboard's useless PC Application key to Cmd as it should be.

This is a great video, but I have a quick question... When Karabiner-Elements is running it disables every keyboard shortcut I already had... Cmd+Space = Alfred, Cmd+Tab = Switch between open apps, etc. Is there any way to "Import" my existing keyboard shortcuts rather than importing someone else's from the internet? I really just want to be able to make a shortcut for my non-apple keyboard to adjust the volume and brightness up and down, but it seems to be very complicated.

I have a spare computer keyboard; the logictechboard designed for Avid Pro Tools, will this be OK to use along side my space grey BT mac keyboard? I have used Karabiner since it was called KeyRemap4MacBook, but only for a couple of things, mainly to get a hyperkey, which I use with Keyboard Maestro to do a variety of things. but I was quite taken with your chording of the two shift keys to get caps_lock back. I downloaded your modifications, and have tried some of them out, yet the one I wanted 2 shifts > caps_lock just refuses to work for me. I would love it if you, or anyone could shed some light on this, as it seems to work beautifully for you, and I am using your modification. thanks: t
