Half of the west coastline are ocean. And why silly gov change the name Jesselton to KK? Jesselton more easy to pronounces by tourists and western people to visit.

yes, I'm a Sabahan but I prefer Jesselton than KK. We praise British? No, I don't think so. Dusun peoples have a good connection between the British.

I think Jesselton is a much better word than Kota Kinabalu.Like Georgetown in Penang.

@@AAAA-yd4kz *All Borneo territories are not geographically and not originally part of Malingsia anytime our garbage documents of the stupid Tunku Abdul Rahman's dream of proposal of merging or landgrabbing Borneo Colonies to Federation of Malingsia (Malaya now Peninsula) through garbage Malingsia Agreement 1963 (MA63) or Malingsia formation are trash abolish dissolve and thrown away forever. We Malingsians will surely return to our nightmare of original territory of Federation of Malingsia (Malaya now Peninsula) who became independent territory since August 31, 1957 while Borneo are British Colonies without MA63.* *No Borneo. It was a fishing village without name. Anyone remember why it was called Api-Api (亞庇) ,fire-fire, before it was named Jesselton?
@chrisbourke9840
@chrisbourke9840 4 жыл бұрын
Because there was a fire. Can't remember if pirates burned it or if it was burnt to deter pirates.
@AL-bo5vq
@AL-bo5vq Жыл бұрын
@@chrisbourke9840 After the first fire, all villagers moved over to the opposite island, currently called Gaya island, unfortunately it was again burned down and everyone moved back to the mainland at the same location and call it api-api,
