Very good video man. If you're not installing the lights with a switch panel. I would strongly suggest adding a relay. According to Diode Dynamics, their SS3 Pro use ~3 amps (it doesn't say if it's one or both). Using a relay you won't have the high current going through the rocker switch, and you can leave the high power circuit inside the engine compartment. It's a more tedious install (more cables and more connections), but on the plus side, you only need to pass one cable through the firewall (the positive that controls the relay). The main idea of the firewall is to have a barrier between the occupants and a potential fire, and keeping high current circuits in the engine bay adds safety.

This is such a great video. Just picked up the SS3 ditch lights and auxbeam panel. Glad you show how to hook it up to the panel. Most vids only show using the ditch light harness but that is all messy.

Hello Jesse I know this video is 2rs old but, I have the Auxbeam 6 gang switch controller instead of the 8. My issue is where do I connect the black wire to since there is no spot for it. Since that, do I just ground the black wires to my a ground spot of my car? Great video explaining how to connect to a auxbeam. I've just move into the off road light scene and just bought my Outback Wilderness so I'm a noob at wiring stuff atm.

The SS3 Max are brighter compare to the SS3 Pro. The Max are the newest to the ss3 line up.

Could you essentially use an add a fuse and use the fuse box and use the fog light fuse so when the fog lights turn on the pods turn on?

Jesse, I have enjoyed watching your videos for a while now. On August 12, 2021, on your recommendation, I ordered a Toyota Pro Style Grill from The Yota Garage. They immediately charged my card and as of today, 9/1/21 have yet to ship my order or communicate with me in any way. I sent them 2 emails (8/17 & 8/18) requesting information about my order. ZERO response. then on or about 8/24 I sent them a direct email from their website requesting that they refund my money and notify me of such, again zero response. I have since filed a complaint with the BBB, to which they have yet to respond. I just thought you would want to know this about a company that you recommend. This is not the way to do business. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I should have read the Google reviews before hand. Appears I am not the only one they have done this to.
