Thank you, Jessica Chastain, for your speech. It was one the best speeches I've heard this year so far. Keep up the good work in always speaking up and for wanting more roles in the entertainment, TV & Film industry for people of ALL races and colors, for women, for people from the LGBT community, etc. There are still too many TV shows and movies that don't have enough diversity. We will never see more progress until more people speak up and try to do something to make some social progress. This world is a better place because of people like Jessica Chastain and people who speak up. I think Michael Keaton's speech at the Golden Globes and Jessica Chastain's speech at the Critics Choice Awards have been my favorite speeches this year so far. Jessica Chastain has my respect. She is wonderful. And her speech was great. Many thanks to you, Jessica, for speaking up. More people need to speak up. I speak up many times, and I get raked over the coals for it sometimes, but I'm going to continue to speak up because I choose not to ignore what needs to be addressed. Way to go, Jessica, with your speech! I'm grateful for people like Jessica Chastain! :-)

She's always been an advocate for diversity and animal rights. Jessica is a rare one in that she actually practices what she preaches, and means what she says.

Detective Hawk That's nice what you said of Jessica Chastain. That's good that she practices what she preaches. Earlier today was Martin Luther King Jr. Day. I wanted to go see "Selma", but the nearest movie theater didn't have "Selma" playing, which I found to be very sad. I also watched Monday night's episode of "The Bachelor" on ABC, and I found it sad that the ONLY African American female contestant they had in their entire pool of women for "The Bachelor" was eliminated - taken off the show ON Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Anyways, we still have a long way to go in terms of seeing social progress and more diversity in the TV and movie industry. JMO. Have a nice week.

***** i'm not just talking about one or two shows or movies, i'm talking about in general more consistent diversities should be shown. And don't try to deny it, everyone knows that Hollywood needs to be more diverse, but most people won't stand up and talk about it.

+mrohyoudidntknow3 Since you only asked for one CMT is a Network completely devoted to white people. And i'm white so don't give me any bs about how it isn't. Everyone knows that it is. Also those few shows and Networks are definitely progress, but compared to the amount of "White" shows and movies that are put out that isn't shit. Like I said it's not just about blacks, it's about all ethnicities, and woman. There has definitely been an increase in more and better roles for people of color and women, but Hollywood still needs to improve it's diversity. I look forward to a time when we just have movies and shows with everyone represented. Not just white movies or black movies, but movies with everyone.

Class act. The dummies trying to put their own meaning into her words only betray their own bitterness. Such action as Chastain advocates cuts out no one -- it just lets more people in.

I'm kinda confused how she mentions Antisemitism yet it's well known that Jews control TV and Hollywood. Over 90% of the industry is controlled by them yet people like Chastain try to make it seem like they're the group that is lacking in this field. Don't even get me started with actresses or actors of Jewish faith either.

So true. And it's very telling how (certain) people find Jessica's *positive* and uplifting message as problematic. Cave trolls really do hate daylight.
