it's not a makeup look, it's a masterpiece. it's like she painted on the model's eyes, never thought this color combination could work in real life, but it came out just PERFECT. wow, I'm mind-blown.

Am I the only who realizes she can do smokey eyes without a blending brush? She is such a character. No wonder Lisa respects her so much. She did bring 2 of the most talented female makeup artists today (Lisa and Charlotte) into the industry so I guess we have much to thank her for.

An ex assistant of mine had quite a lot of tattoos, she now lives in LA with a very successful career (making up A-Listers for the red carpet etc). It never personally bothered me that she had them as she was and is a really charming girl with talent and a very professional attitude. X

That was incredible-a master class in makeup. Mary and Lisa's both share a gift not just for colour and application, but for knowing what to "keep back" as Mary put it. Other lesser talented MUA would have filled in the brows, or added eye liner or false lashes and made it far too heavy.

What is it with British makeup artists, they're simply amazing. The looks they create are always sophisticated and elegant yet also trendy, and fashion-forward. I guess it's because they have that European aesthetic that is more refined and effortless.

I really do like Mary's minimal, relaxed approach to makeup ... I do feel like a lot of all these different expensive brushes are exaggerated nowadays - at the end of the day, a brush is a brush. You have to be a true artist, I think, to achieve what she can with these lovely colours. It's also much more accessible and encouraging to the viewer :)
