Wow, this song makes me realize how much of an impact Jessica's voice makes in terms of the original SNSD sound. She seriously was one of the key identifiers and you could recognize it was SNSD as soon as you heard her voice. The way this chorus sounds reminds me so much of the previous SNSD sound. Now, I realize that Jessica's voice is the reason I was initially drawn to SNSD. The current SNSD doesn't grab my attention as much as they used to (not to say that they still aren't amazing). Jessica has that voice that piques your interest and stimulates your curiosity enough to make you look into what you've just heard.

Spotify just randomly played this for me. It's ridiculously good. The music, the singing, and last but definitely not least the lyrics. It has "hit" written all over it. I guess the marketing fell short and her standing in the english speaking part of the music industry is/was not relevant enough, but I wouldn't be too surprised, if one day someone covered this and got themselves a smash hit.
