Jess has that Ellie black “layout” shape on her cheng but it’s pretty good and definitely safer than Alice’s Amanar
@liukin959 ай бұрын
They're looking good. It's very easy to pick them apart now, but we need to remember this is the first they've competed them in a competition setting. The more they put them out on the competition floor, the more they'll improve. I'm sure they'll compete them at worlds!

Jessica cheng is okay, but that amanar is really scary and not worth it. I'm worried for her knees
@askan3009 ай бұрын
She just loves the separation of her legs, just like on the ground. Unfortunately, they do not show the run-up, Gadirova always makes such funny grimaces on her face.

Jess's Cheng is piked Cheng LMAO. FIG judges needs to do harsher deductions on vault because many are doing chengs with bad form. RIP Alice's knees, her amanar is ACL injury waiting to happen. It is scary she is still twisting before she lands.

I feel as if people are being dramatic about Jessica's Cheng! It does have a bit of pike but come on. I'm sure all those people talking shit train harder than Jess everyday and have been able to do a PERFECT Cheng for years! 👀

This is a fallacy. One’s ability to do a skill has zero relevance to their ability to critique of the execution of that skill, especially if it is well informed. If the layman can spot a piked position, what more a judge? It’s also not “a bit” of a pike, it actually reaches a 90 degree angle. It’s an accomplished vault of course, as are most vaults at this level, but it’s very vulnerable to deductions at the moment. Luckily she has a little time to straighten it out for Worlds hopefully

@@goodyougetastar I hope this comment made you feel superior to me like those who dog gymnasts they don't like for doing skills that aren't 100% perfect.
@goodyougetastar9 ай бұрын
@@FigureNastics i hope Jessica is more assured in her own skill and less sensitive than you about comments that aren’t even aggressive to begin with. Criticism isn’t “dogging.” Reading the words “your hips are too piked for a laid out skill” isn’t actually a big deal. It’s not bullying, it’s not attacking her, it’s not making fun of her. It isn’t anything but critique - the literal basis of the sport. :)
@FigureNastics9 ай бұрын
@@goodyougetastar Unfortunately, many 'fans' have attacked her and others for doing a new skill that has errors. Constructive criticism is one thing. However, many people take it to the extreme in an attempt to make themselves feel better about their own lives. It's those types of comments I was speaking about. If you've been around the gymternet long enough, you know the exact behavior I'm referring to and it's just disgusting.
@goodyougetastar9 ай бұрын
@@FigureNastics I understand that part, and it does suck to see. I remember how toxic the chat and comments were about the Gadirovas at last year’s Worlds. This particular comments section seems quite objective and respectful as a whole, though, which is why I was taken aback by your initial comment. I still hope the “you can’t do what she does, so you can’t speak on it” argument dies though. People are very knowledgeable and passionate about the sport even when their athletic ability and experience isn’t up to par, and their critiques are still valuable. The issue is in the approach, and not in the existence of the critique itself. :)
