David tenant has mastered the art of playing characters that are impossible to wrap your head around. He can play such multifaceted characters with such nuance and subtlety. The doctor, kilgrave, and Crowley are just a few examples and those characters are so different but all have the same air of underlying depth that no one person could comprehend

Kilgrave is probably the most fucked up MCU Villain I've ever seen. Probably the only one with a decent plan too, mainly cuz he had none. He just wanted what he wanted and nothing else. He didn't want the end of the world or any sort of villain-y shit. He just wanted to get his way. Only Tennant could pull something like this off I feel like. I still see the goofy wonderful man yelling, "Allons-y" though

Imagine if Kilgrave had had a decent childhood, how much good he could do. He would be fucking amazing at peace summits, if used right, and as long as he didn't just go "You make a peace treaty with them now."

One of the main reasons why Kilgrave is so (good in my opinion) is because he genuinely feels justified in his actions and doesn’t view himself as evil

The best scene was when Jessica was talking with Trish on the phone and Trish told her that Simpson was lost while searching for Killgrave and Jessica turns and looked Killgrave and he is like "I don't know, wasn't me" haha, best!

David Tennant finally made it into the MCU. He did such a great job as Kilgrave. He made me despise the character.

I remembered this guy is played by the man who didn't know the eggplant emoji had another meaning to it

I hate the cliche that people come back to life in superhero shows, but I wouldn't mind it as much with Kilgrave

David Tennant is an incredible actor; he can go from the Doctor to Hamlet to a charmingly evil psychopath to Benedick of Padua and make all his characters irrestiable and believable.

People who say MCU villains are weak have obviously never been in Netflix. Kingpin is my favorite second is Kilgrave

David Tennant was and still is my childhood idol. Star-struck me since he played the Tenth Doctor, my favourite one as far, and does so well in playing this role of a calm, cool, psychotic control freak. The man's truly brilliant.

I keep watching Kilgrave and seeing David Tennant and thinking "Wow, I can actually imagine the Doctor saying some of this." I mean, his rant about all the interruptions/distractions and just shouting out "I am trying to confess eternal love here", although the Doctor would never confess his love. I guess its just some of David Tennant's traits that show through in his roles, but he is amazing at playing Kilgrave.

EVERYBODY QUUUUIIIIIEEEETT. (that's what i'm always wanna say in my whole life.)

What makes David Tennant work as Purple Man is his charisma never fails to keep him interesting or, at the very least, engaging. He's detestable and a sick piece of work , yet he's so engaging as a bad guy you can't help but love to hate him every time he's onscreen. My favourite episode is where he saves the family from the gun totting husband . It's such a good episode because it shows if Killgrave wasn't such a sociopath he could actually use his powers for the greater good and be a strong ally , there's even a brief moment where even Killgrave looks like he might revel in the chance of redemption, but then we're reminded he's a sociopathic rapist with absolutely no remorse or conscience.

It's REALLY hard to watch without thinking "OMG DOCTOR WHY YOU'RE ACTING LIKE THIS" but then "NO YOU'RE NOT TEN ANYMORE" I grt mixed feelings oh God so confusing

I don't think you should binge watch this series, you might not be able to appreciate David tenant's acting and the vibe this series gives, I did not fully enjoy the series the first time I binge watched it, I was hoping for a dare devil type finale, But after I went through the series again, watching it slowly, I truly enjoyed the series, Damn this was so unique and David Tenant was amazing!!!!

I think what's so scary about him is the fact that he sees literally nothing wrong with his depravity. He acts like rape, stalking and commanding people to horrible fates for his amusement is like a walk in the park. No one was there to tell him to to socialize correctly so he just grew up to be an entitled sociopath who never cared about right or wrong.

Jessica Jones series 1 is so underrated it’s incredible, the themes going throughout it with incredible side characters like Malcolm, Patsy, Simpson and at the centre two amazing characters Jessica and Killgrave

Of course, with Kilgrave, 'best moments' is synonymous with 'creepiest moments'! Also, really Kilgrave? You'll do ANYTHING for her? Do you even HEAR yourself? Granted, once Jessica stayed with him, he did give that a pretty good shot, but I can't imagine it would have lasted that long, especially since Jessica really wants him to just leave her alone and stop hurting people, which he is clearly unwilling to do.

By far the best thing about JJ. Kilgrave is basically what you'd get if narcissism was a superpower. Great idea, perfect performance by Tennant. If only they'd bring him back to the show.

When I saw Jessica Jones the first time was when I first tried to get out of that abusive relationship. Kilgrave reminds me so much of my abusive ex

Honestly in all the superhero shows and movies, Kilgrave really scares me the most. He's so unhinged and just capable of living in a world where everyone does exactly what he tells them to, and he's played by David Tennant. If I were walking down a dark alley and he appeared I would absolutely shit myself, you have no idea what he might make you do.

David Tennant has to be one of the greatest actors on the planet. Look at that instant shift in his demeanour at 6:15. Incredible would be a colossal understatement.

These two are absolutely brilliant on screen together. The chemistry just jumps off in an incredibly sickening and yet mesmerizing way.
