I'll buy some of that real estate. The unmentioned part was Mike. Mike was integral to creating conflict. Jessica was the other part of the story that, she could have, resolved that conflict, i.e., Mike. Those two gone made Suits something of an empty vessel.

Ever since they started focusing less on the courtroom battles, case-related stories, and started aiming to become the next big soap opera, is when they started losing it. I get it, you need character development, you need all those character-related stories to progress but come' on! The main essence of the show was legal battles and tough cases.

... that does not exist in the real world. The amount of black judges and attorneys they wrote into that show does not reflect real life in the slightest. Sidenote: People despised the sheer surrealism of how Jessica was written that her spinoff "Pearson" got canceled immediately after it was released. Seriously take a look into a few clips of the show and you'd be surprised how many black people are judges, attorneys - even two name partners of big firms in this small little universe. Then take a look how many black lawyers even exist in the US, let alone highly competent ones.

That piece of paper being rather important, having watched the show I don't really need to tell you this but you don't legally become a lawyer without passing the Bar, and you simply can't do that without having studied law, not really different from a doctor, who receives a medical licence to practise as a result of having studied, it doesn't really matter about your knowledge but rather about liability, are you as a lawmaker going to let potentially any random go out there and either practise law or be a doctor or whatever else that has serious ramifications without them being properly trained beforehand? Also as an aside, it definitely does teach you "knowledge or skill" contrary to what you said, there aren't really any other options to get access to the expertise of past practitioners of whatever field you're studying, or to use the doctor example again, you can't go cutting up cadavers anywhere else. And the show and real life also shows that merely knowing things without having firsthand experience at it at university doesn't equate to being able to practise your job competently, if you watch the LegalEagle review of Suits Ep.1 he talks about that rather succinctly.

You can learn language but it doesn't make you a writer like Alexander Dumas The best ones in the field understand that optimization needs to work on multiple levels of the system. It is simple answer. Nobody wants a guy who lied about his resume. The implications are huge. What do you think that the firms's clients would wonder about the firm, knowing that a man who was taking their cases actualy cheated?. This leverage would be a serious advantage for all those who lost the cases agaisnt Mike and the firm. So, all those cases would be appealed, and the firm would lost its reputation. In real life, Pearson-Hardman would not survive with the Mike's case.

You know, all these "powerful woman" attestations come off as condescending, as if a woman couldn't be powerful so we must make the point. It's as if there are no weak men, some of the best characters are weak men, look at Luis at his lowest. This opens the way for him to find strength. I'd like to think Jessica was just a badass and so is Harvey, I'm not sure of any reason why gender matters here.

I don't know about law specifically, but it's possible for people to do a master's at Harvard without a university degree. It's not common but it does happen. Like with Sir Donald Tsang, a former Chief Executive of Hong Kong and the first Cantonese Financial Secretary who defeated Soros back in 1998

This show is so non reaistic. Thats what makes it funny. If Mike Ross supposedly had this super human gift; he would be a trilionaire, not spending 15 hours a day at a New York law firm often getting belittled. I love the time he looks at an entire page of numbers for 2 seconds and reads them all back to Benjamin the IT guy. Sure.
@camilomartan746

First of all. It wasn't about the money, you didn't hear why Mike wanted to study law? And also during his interview with Harvey he said that he wanted to get back on the right track. Second of all, It's a tv show, the unrealistic aspects of it it's what makes the show so appealing. Nobody would like to watch a show about a firm of lawyers in which the characters spend the entire time reading loads of papers
