Except for the fans are what make or break a singer, which is why she never really broke it huge. Her broadway voice is pretty good, but she was fairly mediocre for the time, and definitely now. Was she better than Britney? Yes, but Britney's advantage was that she was first. Jessica hasn't touched music in over 7 years. She likely will never return, but she's made success elsewhere.

I disagree. She performed on the Donnie and Marie show and (who knows how many takes it took) but it was her strongest vocals and her first national TV performance before the single even dropped.
