+Daniel Evans it's been 2 years and 27 days. no easier and I still can't seem to find peace with him. he was my best friend and everything I pushed forward for in life aside our kids. this year for my son's 10th birthday he asked for his dad back. my heart broke some more. my 7 year old refuses to celebrate hers now Cuz the last celebration we had was in a hospital with cup cakes. I swear I still see him, smell him and hear him. I know I'm not alone in this world but the hurt isn't fading.

+Mandy Lingruen just over 9 years for me. We talk about her a lot but now we an smile and look back with fond memories. I see it as not what I lost but what a wonderful love I had and I'm grateful for that time. I believe in time it will get easier. You have a long journey ahead but live in memory of him. Wishing you comfort and peace for your family. Time really is a healer. It will never leave, but it will get a little easier year by year. He is there in your children. +Daniel Evans i find myself struggling to either be angry at such unknown illnesses that took him, angry at life for the way it played out or angry at him for not fighting long enough. though I know in long run this is the outcome it would have just been prolonged. guess that's me being selfish.... I cherish every memory he and I shared 10 years was a long time but not long enough. now I have to live as he always did. everyday as if it were my last. hard knowing I have nobody to talk to about it. so I hold it all in.

+Mandy Lingruen I totally get that, I was angry at everyone and everything for so long. But it was not helping my daughter, or me and at some point I realised there was nothing that could be done and this was how it was meant to be unfair as it may seem. I had a lot of hate for a long time. The pain never leaves and not a day goes by when I don't think of her but at some point I learned to let it go. I found an amazing therapist (and I'm not one for that kind of thing) but I reluctantly went and she was a big help. You need to talk it out. The more you face those emotions the less they will control you. I learned to take the power they had away but it was tough and still is but I finally found some sort of fractured peace within the anger and the conflict inside. I hope you find your way I really do. But try and talk to someone. It helped me but unknown it's different for everyone. Has to be worth a try. Took me 6 years to go and wish I went earlier. It's tough but helped me. x

Marsha Griffith I had the same issue...my husband left after 20 years and 2 kids because he " didn't feel like this is where he would be at this point in his life" haha..well where did he THINK he was gonna be?? Anyway....fast forward 15 years and I have found the most amazing man...and we will be getting married next year. I just wish we had the time to spend 50 or 75 years together. But, we WILL spend the rest of our lives together, however long the Lord decides that will be. I also have to thank my ex for my two amazing children. Oh..and the ex ended up married again, too.,....wonder how long that will last....

Agreed. But I can only say, he's a man and he feels like a star. So I guess he felt like he need someone else who feels like a "star" to shine with him. I just wonder how long that will last. But there have been a few examples in the past of "star studded" couples that have made it past all the drama of the public eye and stayed together. I think Miranda "did good" with her new husband. They seem so much more of a good fit than she and Blake ever were. Other than the age difference they seem like they are perfect for each other. And as we like to say, age is just a number. I don't think she feels so much older than him. 😁👍👍
