For today's vlog, I visited the so-called no.1 tourist destination is Korea, Myeongdong! Little did I know though, Myeongdong died due to the travel restrictions of the pandemic.. But oh well! I guess it's starting to revive! Till the day travelling becomes free again! 💖

I remember me and my colleagues learned using chopstick in one day because our Japanese boss instructed the waiter just to bring chopstick and brought a saucer filled with peanuts as appetiser and snails. We were so hungry, after couple of flying peanuts and snails. After end of the day, we can pick peanuts and rice using chopstick 😂. Hunger force our brain to adapt. Love your videos and collabs with Moy and Sylvia. Keep it up.

Seeing this video moved me to tears😢. It reminds me of our days in korea 2018-2019. Reminds us of our Korean friends who we miss dearly,the sights,soundz,and even the smell all came back as i watched this video. First thing almost everybody does when they get to M is to look for a good money changer. Theres a shop out in the back street of M beside a school(?) Run by a couple of Indian guys that offer excellent rates. I miss my absolute favorite roasted octopus cooked with a blowtorch in front of you😁....and of course the last minute shopping before your flight the following day......hope the gigantic Teddy Bear in one of the shops is still there when we come back.🙂👍

Jessica: "Let's go shopping." Moy: "Ay, kaja!" So sad that Myeongdong is now a shadow of what it once was. Hopefully, when tourists are able to go back, it'll be revived to it's former glory.

Oh my goodness, that place brought back lots of memories for me when I visited there in 2013, it was just how you described how busy it was. I remember I had lunch in that McDonald's and went window shopping in the LOTTE Mall. Can't wait to travel there again🙏😔♥️💗💕💖

I've been there in myeongdong as a tourist we check lot of stores in there specially souvenir items. We thought the price is a bargain but the next day we went to a mall (forgot the name) and the souvenirs we found there is a lot cheaper than myeongdong market.an item I remember is in myeongdong 1 set of fork spoon and chopsticks has the same price in that mall of a 3 set of those items.

I feel sorry for the state Myeongdong is now. Such a busy and crowded place before. I still remember getting in line in the grilled lobster stall only to find out it’s kinda pricey! Had just a very small portion since i had to share it with 3 others. LOL. I just hope it’ll be back once the pandemic is over. Such a nice and fun place to go back to.

I love it when they casually use Tagalog words in their conversations. Even sylvia like when moy was asking for opinions on the black coat, sylvia said "sobrang-" She just casually said it in Tagalog rather than using English or korean. I think Moy helped them improve their Tagalog vocab 😁

It dont look that way way back then hmm the myongdong i remember was the fashion center of seoul korea there were lots of stalls selling bondegi and hotttok before and pojangmacha But when you said that moy is from pusan the first thing that came in my mind was texas street jagalchi nampodong seomyeon and the place i worked in yeonsandong 7080 bars and ofcourse 되지국밥

The restaurant ‘Myeongdong gyoza’ doesn’t have any franchise. I heard that the owner let the ex employees to use the name for free that’s why you would find many similar names restaurants in Seoul. I think it’s the only restaurant still people waiting in line to try the food in Myeongdong. Meaning this restaurant isn’t only for tourists

Oww Wow i miss that mandu, I work there before. Myeongdong kyoja restaurant is famous korean restaurant in myeongdong. I'm the one making mandu and also making kimchi in that restaurant before, last 2013-2015. Anyeongheasayo, kumawa, kamsameada

Oh we sat on the same spot in Cafe Coin when we went there...and ordered na same flavor of bingsoo😀 It's just sad that Myeongdong is not as lively as before

The impact of Covid :( but I think myeongdong will be fine in the long term, there is a lot of new interest in Korean Tourism that needs the Korean stuff and Once covid is over, myeongdong is probably going straight back to being the K-beauty place and famous stop for tourists especially for all the ones who've been consuming Korean media during the pandemic.

The first time I went to Korea I stayed in Myeongdong at Green Residences. It was quite close to the church and close to the busy street too. I remember walking the streets at different times of the day and got to experience the chaotic busy vibe of Myeongdong. I was so into KPOP back then and I remember walking to the underpass shown on this video and they have so many unofficial KPOP goodies haha. I lost my hat there while shopping for 2 hours! Anyways Myeongdong is quite special to me because it's where I lived in Korea when I first visited the country.

Awww I miss Myeongdong :( I roamed around there at the evening because I like the night life and the crowd. Kinda similar to Hongdae, but more of the shopping crowd rather than the party crowd. Hopefully the area recovers from this pandemic.

We went to Korea (& Myeongdong) literally months before the pandemic shut everything down. Myeongdong was packed! We went twice/ Your vid makes me sad… we lost our beloved dad a year into COVID (he died of cancer), and we’re a traveling family. It will never be the same… I hate covid.

Aww I saw videos of Myeongdong pre covid and wanted so bad to go there and try the street food because the stalls covered the street. Sad to see it was greatly affected by the pandemic. But I still want to go soon.

Deym I miss Myongdong :( I remember one time a lady who was selling this good face cream came up to me and my friend... she even said Ara Mina was her usual customer however the product was too expensive and we just.. bolted out of the shop... never to return HAHA! But some shops (especially those in the alley ways) know how to speak in Filipino.. gawd thanks for the vid! PS: So sad to see Myongdong being this 'quiet'... hope it goes back to how glorious and crowded fun place :) PSS: Medjo mahal ung street food nakakaloka but totally worth it hehe!

so sad because Myeongdong is my fave place in Seoul... we were there passing by everyday because our airbnb was so near... hopefully the business will boom again once this pandemic is over
