Ok I am now realizing I should of cleaned up the studio a bit before I shot this video. Too be fair I am in the middle of holiday order insanity and preparing for five yes FIVE exhibitions in February! Yikes!
Anyway this is a ceramic glaze tutorial. I show how to sieve and mix a cone six glaze.

Thanks for being a working artist! The gloves in my room are always missing. I laughed so hard. You go girl! ...When pouring, Please rest the bucket on another bucket to save your back.

Thanks so much for your 3 glaze videos! I have just broken off from "the mothership" after 6 years and I will be in my own studio, with my own Kiln, making my own glazes, eek! I have been cooking for my whole adult life, and a potter friend of mine has the same attitude you do. How refreshing! Love your presentation and personality also!

Thanks for info on sieve size I'd been away from clay for years and forgot. Only had a 30 mesh to use, it was a big mistake.

I've found putting your sieving bucket wheel and rotating it slowly while holding a handled plastic brush against the sieve screen makes the job much easier.

I mark my buckets on the side and on the lid in black perm marker, I dont like having a lid that may have a dark residue on it on a light glaze bucket by mistake.. Like the date mixed idea. I also will hang a test tile with the color of the glaze on the handle. I have successfully removed black marker with a "scotch" pad and cream or powder cleanser like vim or comet

This is a great idea leading us into the new year with studio work flow and organizational tips. It was enjoyable seeing all your videos. It was helpful to see your favorite tools and the three groups they belong in. I would like to see the other containers of tools that you referred to in a follow up video. You display the tools well and the close ups are very beneficial. Thanks again.

I need some of these sieves if I cannot find them on eBay where do you get them I am not going to pay $25 for a 4-inch PVC fitting save in a ceramic store that's ridiculous. I've seen them for as high as $30 for that little three or four inch sieve which is absolutely ridiculous you can buy silk screen sieve and make your own for that matter but I would just like to buy sound like you have

I think I paid around $30 for mine. I tried to find them for less but had no luck.
