Jessie has a heart disease and some other health problems that cause severe pain. She didn't sing in the episode 8 because she of her heart. She flew back to the U.K. and the other competitors allowed her back in the competition if she was capable of singing in episode 9. Her doctors said she shoudn't go back to China, she went anyway, but there was some problem with the flight so she only got back to China after the rehersals. I always get emotional when i see this performance. Every time she says "my heart will go on" i tear up. She said that the only thing on her mind when she was singing was "don't faint". After this performance, during the reveal of the votes, she could barely stand up. She amazes me. Her strength, her passion. It's truly beautiful. Thank you for the reaction, Tobias. Jessie has a complicated career. Sadly. She was first signed to a label that went bankrupt and lost some of her songs. Then she couldn't get signed in the U.K so she went to the US. She got a bad manager (twice). Her first album was a huge success in the U.K. Her second too, but it wasn't released in the US. You know... she's an amazing songwriter, but most of what she writes isn't comercial, so they pressured her to do more "pop" songs/hits. And she did. And she lost herself, she couldn't nor wanted to make music anymore. She spent the last couple of years trying to find herself again. And she did. She came back stronger, wiser. She rose above the pain. She wrote on of the most beautiful albums i've ever heard. She bared her soul to us. If you have time/interest you should check her video called R.O.S.E - Confessional and her new album R.O.S.E. It's R&B. I'm pretty sure you will like it.

She has Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. She almost died when she was 10 or 11 after she collapsed from her heart disease. She was on IV's & all that for the whole week leading up to this performance & this song has a totally different meaning to her mostly the part "My Heart will go on"

Sleeve-ography! Yes! This is iconic as far as I'm concerned. The emotion, the vocal power. Celine's version is a performance. Jessie's is an experience.

Just wait till you get to her singing Purple Rain, Flashlight/Earthsong, and her winning performance of I Will Always Love You........prepare for the shookness (if that's even a word) lol :) Aside from the singer another one I think you would enjoy is when she covered the King of Pop's song Rock With You. Only a handful of people did a reaction to that one. So please check it out. Amazing vocalist and person. Not only does Jessie have that heart condition she also has a problem that stops her having kids. She suffers tremendous bouts of pain from the condition. She was told 4 years ago to have a hysterectomy but declined. That is why she wrote the track 4 letter word for her Rose album. If you have not listened to it please do so.
