This is pure disinformation. I've already tried to educate you as a KZfaq poster. When you post disinformation, it could negatively effect the environment and the very important attempts to soften the drought effects. PLEASE for the love of water, learn the source of Lake Mead WATER! Thanks dude.

It would be cool to see, but I can tell you from first hand that when the water is as full as it was in 1983 it’s just as inconvenient to go to the lake as it was last year in July when it was that low. The ultimate goal would be for the lake to be what is basically considered full like it was back in about 1999. In 1983 the lake was actually considered overfull as the lake is not supposed to spill into the Spillways.

Great video and update!👍 You do a nice job with the before & after shots really enjoyed your comparisons of Lake Mead here. Temperatures up near Echo and Stewarts have been brutal lately! Glad you know the signs of heat illness and when to call it out there. We were just up at Echo Bay checking on the progress and my camera and phone kept overheating. Had to put them in the cooler to get a few mins of footage!🤣Stay hydrated out there looking forward to more updates!

I had the same issue!! About every half hour or so my camera would overheat, then I'd have to turn it off and keep it out of the sun for about 10-15 minutes. And yea on top of that, every hour or so I would go back into my car to cool off for 15 minutes and rehydrate 🥵 that heat was playing around.......and I was always told to listen to your body......dont wanna end up on the list of bodies found at lake mead ☠️....And thank you so much!!! 🙏 glad you enjoy the before and afters! Echo Bay is a pretty neat area, especially with the resort. Hopefully the temps ease up out there, I got a long hike out there I want to accomplish next week.....you know it's hot when even technology don't wanna work haha...thanks again! Stay cool 😎👍

It is a great start, but it’s going to take several more years of very wet winters to get it back full again, and even if that happens and they still need to work on the conservation side to prevent it from happening again especially California
@jessiesdroneadventures7464
@jessiesdroneadventures7464 11 ай бұрын
Agreed 💯 even if it does fill up to 100% capacity, there is more people living in the southwest than ever before... conservation is key...... however, seeing that people are leaving California, maybe it will balance out

It's just the weather cycle. Ps. When the Colorado River was nearly stationary, l was telling everyone it was on holiday in Sydney Australia at the time and when it got sick of flooding all the homes built on a flood plain, it would return home, looks like it made it's way back after its big adventure.

Excellent question! I read an article from the hill that said the snowmelt usually starts to stop around July, but this year we had way more than usual, so it could last a little longer, and with monsoon season here the rain could add a little to it. Between Snowmelt and rain.....I believe they could continue to go up until mid September

I also live in Phoenix, and like a lot of people I have been concerned about the water levels of Lake Mead. Still a long way to go, but I enjoyed seeing the before and after photos you posted. By the way, when you first arrived at Rogers Spring, I was thinking how tempting it would be to jump in the water on a hot day , until I saw the warning sign about brain eating amoeba’s in the water. Yikes! 😬

Haha, I thought the exact same thing. I was shocked to see that in the middle of nowhere, and thought to myself, " what a great place to take a dip" then I saw the warning sign. And yes! Lake Mead has a long way to go, but every little bit is progress! Thanks for watching the video. 👍

The total generating capacity of the Hoover Dam is 2,080 megawatts and its average annual energy output is about 478 megawatts. By using solar (possibly floating on the lake itself) pump water upstream to those two dams, we could increase their output many times, with months of storage. It would also increase the amount of water in the lake.

8News now asked the NPS " national park service" why they dont remove the boats.........this was the response "As vessels continue to surface, park staff document their locations and assess for potential hazards or threats to environmental or human safety. But it is not standard park policy to remove a boat from the lake due to it being a labor-intensive, multifaceted and costly process.”
