All piles were fascinating, but, I loved pile #2 the most!! You were so accurate in describing a mechanism of defence that I use but never really consciously looked at properly until I listened to you working through this pile. I guess you could say that pile 2 was reversed for me. You made me look at why I have this mechanism. Girl, you just made me so consciously aware of how I defend, but you also in a strange way reassured me (through myself looking at what I went through) realize that it’s okay and it’s a damn good defence. My father was an extremely good looking, incredibly intelligent (probably borderline if not full on genius) and narcissistic. It took me years as a child to realize all of this, it’s not exactly something a kid is going to understand. If he had to, he would spend years crafting a plan and slowly and covertly execute the plan to make sure you landed smack tab in the middle of his web and he won! And winning to him usually meant material possessions. He could fake emotions like no bodies business, but never really sad emotions, he could convince you that you were happy about something that only served his purpose... ughhh! I remember the moment so clearly when I finally realized who he was. I was in my early 30’s sitting on my bedroom floor looking at a document that he had signed from his lawyer that was going to steal all of the promises that he and myself had made to my grandfather. The minute my grandfather died (who was his father) he executed his endgame plan. Oh Jess, the manipulative aspect that you described in Mercury! He owned that. He looked like a cross between George Clooney and Tom Cruise and he used women and dated women that had more status and money than him. I could see him using them but didn’t realize how much he was using ME until I sat there on that bedroom floor and cried over those legal documents with his signature on them. A huge red flag for me is definitely covert behaviour, display of intellectual intelligence and a seemingly lack of or a lack of displaying emotional intelligence that is real. I’ve spent years working on being a sponge to identify those traits and sometimes it takes longer than others and other times it’s just not worth looking into anymore. Thanks for being both that intellectual and emotionally intelligent person! I haven’t spoken to him in over 15 years. He’s a type of high intellectual, narcissistic personality that you can only survive and keep your sanity by walking away from. Thanks for that healing session Jess! ❤️🥰
