Nice raccoon sign, those O’s made me think of the eyeballs emoji, love the birdhouses too. Nice to see a big family stayed close. Glad you didn’t mess with those bees, a couple years ago, my brother accidentally hit a stump in the yard, a bunch of bees came flying out. They chased him as he went as fast as he could on his mower. Unfortunately, he couldn’t out run them and he got stung.

I try to protect pollinators, but ground bees are very mean, so I would suggest you wait until they are in their hive at night and spray them.

I would like to suggest two plants that you may like for your garden. 1. Solomon’s Seal. It grows in a arch about three feet tall, has little white flowers in the spring, the leaf is pretty all summer I thing. It likes shade. 2. Bloodroot. This is a native plant. Comes up in the spring as a white flower, sort of like a carnation. Then the leaf comes up after the flower and is very pretty throughout the summer. Likes the shade, will tolerate some sun. It gets it name from when you break the stem it will bleed. It is said that the Indians used it for dye and paint on skin. I love your gardens. I have gone back to the beginning as I wanted to see how you created them. I’m 79 and used to have extensive gardens, now take care of church memorial garden and have a small space at our condo that I garden. But my shady part is full of hostas and ferns. Love watching your creations.

Love the sign. It's a sweet thought. Hand made gifts are better than a purchased one. Have you and Nate ever set out a trail cam to see what critters roam your area at night and even some days? Bees won't bother you much as long as you're not swatting at them. I have wasps around my outdoor faucet and porch. I just ignore them and move around in another direction. This time of year is great because all the flowers look lush and beautiful. Makes all the work seem worthwhile. p.s. I love your gold shirt.. Gold & white paired in the Summer is so classic and cheery.

Hi, Jes! I thought to myself that you looked like a sweet honey bee at the beginning of the video with your pretty yellow shirt and those big sunglasses.🥰 Then the bees happened and you mentioned My Girl. That movie is the stuff of nightmares! I was told that I may be allergic to bee stings when I was in high school. I always think of that movie when I’m around bees. They don’t bother me in my garden because they’re so busy themselves.

I was trying to dig up a hydrangea but I discovered a yellow jacket nest in a hole underneath it so I'm not digging it up until this winter.
@gardeningjunkie226711 ай бұрын
Wasps are attracted to the smell of freshly dug dirt. When I dig during the day I have about 30 seconds before they all come. I find it much safer to transplant in the evening. Although if they're still there the next day then you are correct that you likely have a ground nest. I was told that the bees die off after 10 days of temperatures at 40 degrees or less, so maybe you can transplant then.

I had a run- in with ground bees twice so far , the first time was very traumatic for me because they were all over me , stung me many times and fallowed me into my house as I was yelling and screaming trying to get them out of my hair and ripping my clothes off , they are very aggressive. Love 💕 all your videos, you do everything so well

Most of my plants never thrive, so I’m very reluctant to move anything around. I think my soil is on the high PH side and I’ve heard that high PH usually binds up the minerals in the soil, plus my water is very alkaline 😢🌺💚🙃

Bees are amazing little creatures - but have a big attitude - lol 🐝🦟. Did you ever hear about a certain HUGE hornet bee called the “ Cicada killer ?” They catch & kill a cicada, then bury it in a hole where they then lay larvae on it. When the larvae -hatch they eat off the decaying cicada. The offspring often return to lay their larvae the following year 😳 amazing
