I find this covenant agreement interesting. If you notice in the KJV, it says "And he shall confirm (the) covenant with many for one week, but in all other versions it says "confirm (a) covenant. "A covenant" vs "the covenant"... There is a difference between confirming a covenant, and making a covenant. One is pre-existing, and the other is a newly established covenant. (I believe) that "the covenant" referred to here, is the existing covenant between the Jews and God, not a new agreement or treaty, that somehow includes animal sacrifices. In other words...the AC formally allows the sacrificial practices to continue for 7 years, but then breaks that agreement mid week. I always go to the KJV first because other versions through oversimplification can distort the meaning of a scripture. Correct me if I'm wrong...

God understands time. These explanations about 7 days = 7 years gets old. The Bible is meant to be read as literal truth.

He will come and go to check up on you but when you receive chills and shudders you were reassured by the guardian angels God granted you termed the quickening of the flesh in a bible. Please understand the Abomination of Desolation does not have to be an actual person. It can be a company LOGO, a national LOGO an ideological LOGO etc, a representative statue, an advert, a hologram even. At no stage does Daniel say it is a person...! Then he shall confirm a [k]covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. Do You Set Saturday Aside As The Holy Day Spoken About In Exodus 20:8-11?

Hello Dr. Barnett, You really help to make things clear, especially concerning the abomination of desolation and Daniel 9. But I do have a couple of questions about your coverage of Jesus’s return at the beginning of the millennium. You go to Rev. 19 as your proof for this, in which you compared Christ to a leading goose in a V formation. However, after a careful reading of ch. 19, I did not find Jesus’s return mentioned for that time. It shows him sitting on his white horse gathering his army to fight his enemies - as you say. But it also says that Christ merely says the word, and his enemies are destroyed. It says nothing about his return to earth at that time. Now, if one’s presupposition is that Christ returns at the millennium’s beginning, it’s easy to read that into ch. 19, but it’s actually not there. Rather, Jesus’s return seems to be found at the end of the millennium, as expressed in the latter verses of ch. 20. Jesus could certainly reign from his throne in heaven during the millennium, couldn’t he? if that is the plan? This idea is further backed up when he told the Sanhedrin in Luke 22:69, just before he was crucified, that from that time on, he would be sitting at the right hand of the power of God. And as you say, Jude 14-15 seem to describe Jesus’s return and judgment, but this sounds very much like what is described in the final verses of Rev. 20, again, after the millennium. Jude doesn’t actually say anything about when Jesus will return, but you seem to have presumed to know it shall be at the millennium’s start. I don’t see anywhere in the scriptures that Jesus’s return occurs at the beginning of the millennium, even though many believe this according to their presuppositions. On the other hand, in my reading, I read of his return and judgment occurring at the end of the millennium, according to the passages I mentioned. So, the judgment you mentioned in Matt. 25 would much more likely be at his return after the millennium. Then there is the first resurrection of Rev. 20, the change from mortality to immortality described in 1 Corinthians 15, which most premillennial believers such as yourself believe occurs at the beginning of the millennium. This idea does not fit well with Jesus’s conversation with Peter and the disciples after his talk with the wealthy young man. Jesus told them that all who followed him and gave up houses, sons, daughters, relatives and friends, and land for his and the Gospel’s sake, would receive many times over what they had given up, and this would occur “in the regeneration”(Gr. palingenesia - restoration of the earth to its original state - Matt. 19:28), “now in this time” (Gr. nyn - at this time, the present - Mark 10:30), or “in this present time” (Gr. kairos - fixed or definite time or season in which they were living - Luke 18:30). To receive many times over the things they gave up for Christ, as described by him, they would have to be resurrected back to their physical state, in order to marry and have many more children, and own more land and houses. “This present time” would refer to the current age of physical humanity, beginning with Adam’s creation and its continuation on through the end of the millennium. This gibes very well with many Old Testament prophecies that describe a restored earth with many physical blessings for Israel, including, for example, that they would live much longer than the usual four score years (Isa 65:20-25) on a physical earth being restored to its original pristine paradise, as it was before Adam’s fall. Not only these things, but God would also write his laws on their hearts, and they would sit on thrones (on the earth), judging the 12 tribes, while Jesus sits on “the throne of his glory” (Matt 19). Then, after all this explanation of the physical blessing his followers would receive in the future restored earth (during the millennium), he added they would also receive eternal life “in the world to come” (Mark 10, Luke 18), as distinguished from “in this present time” that he had mentioned just seconds earlier when he spoke of the physical blessings of the 1,000 years. “The world to come” - the eternal state - would occur at the conclusion of the millennium, not at its beginning. This syncs very well with the timing of Rev. 19-20. It also syncs well with postmillennial and amillennial readings that Jesus’s return and final judgment occur for everyone at his return. All this points to the first resurrection of believers (like Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Samuel, David, the prophets, disciples, and us saints, etc.) being resurrected back to physical life to live during the millennium - with skin and bones, just like Jesus had after his earthly resurrection, rather than to fully glorious beings, to which they will be changed later, after the millennium at Christ’s return, judgment, and the beginning of the age to come, to live into the eternal state. Your reaction to these things? I mention only a few scriptures out of many that seem to point to a serious need for reworking some of the premillennialist tenets.

Based on Hebrews 12:22-24, the Messiah’s death in Daniel 9:26 cannot be separated from the New Covenant fulfilled by His blood at Calvary. Are we supposed to believe the angel Gabriel appeared to Daniel to reveal the timeline of the Messiah who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34, and then the angel failed to even mention the New Covenant. Or, is the covenant with the many in Daniel 9:27 the same covenant with the many in Matthew 26:28? The 1599 Geneva Bible is the Bible the Pilgrims brought to America, before John Darby showed up on our shores about the time of the Civil War. (NKJV) Verse 26 also says the Messiah would be cut off “after” the 69 weeks. If I agree to paint your house “after” 69 weeks, it will not be painted until the 70th week, or after. Is there a “gap” of almost 2,000 years between the 69th week and the 70th week, or was it fulfilled during the first century when the Gospel was preached “first” to the Jews? We know there is a time period when the Gospel was taken “first” to the Jews, as the Apostle Paul said in the verse below. Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. Can we find a time period of about seven years when the Gospel was taken “first” to Daniel’s people during the first century? If we can, we have good evidence that the 70th week of Daniel has already been fulfilled. Did Christ command His disciples to take the Gospel only to Israel in the passage below? Mat 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: "Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. In the passage above Luke confirms the fact that the Gospel of Christ was preached throughout the land of Israel after the baptism which John preached. Bible scholars have looked at the number of Passover celebrations in the Gospels and have estimated Christ’s earthly ministry to have lasted about three and one half years. Was the Gospel taken “first” (Rom. 1:16) to the Jews for a period of about three and one half years during the period of time revealed in the Gospels? In Galatians 1:14-18 Paul reveals he did not go up to see Peter until about 3 years after his conversion. There's one reason above all that there's no temple in Jerusalem. Quite simply it's because our Lord God doesn't need one there anymore. Don't you know you are a temple of the Holy Spirit and collectively the Body of Christ is the temple of the Holy Spirit. We (genuine Christians) are of the New Jerusalem (from above), the 'Old Jerusalem' in Israel houses the children of bondage. Please read Galatians (principly chapter 4) and stop reading the Book of Revelation which was never written by an apostle and is a false prophecy from the first verse to the last verse. Again read Galatians chapter 1 verses 8&9. The revelation of Jesus Christ is the gospel of Jesus Christ not the Book of Revelation. The gospel is all the books from Matthew to Jude. Open your eyes and ears before it's too late. A little leaven leavens the whole lump and the Book of Revelation is a whole lot of leaven.

The second coming of the Christ will come in each individuals Consciousness at different peoples time line or path. In there state of being when coming close to the nature in God, there awakening. It will not take place physically. It will come any time in your Consciousness. Within you. You are the temple, you are your church. It's an activation of your 3rd eye. You won't see it with physical eyes. It will come from within.

Luke 21:20 is the plain-language clarification of this verse in Matthew 24:15 and of Mark 13:14. Luke clarifies that Matthew and Mark mean "Jerusalem encompassed by armies". When did that occur? A few decades after Christ's crucifixion, in 70 AD. Was that spoken of by Daniel? Yes, in Daniel 9. Daniel 9 prophesied the destruction of Jerusalem and the 2nd temple as the consequence of the death of Christ in 9:26 and 9:27. What was the "abomination" part in Daniel 9:27? The Hebrew of 9:27 begins literally, "Upon/above/over the _wing of abominations_ , he will be desolating..." First understand: In the defilement of the 1st temple by the Greek Antiochus, the abomination was an altar to Zeus set up on the temple. Zeus is Satan. He is the father of Apollo, the Sun god (Sol Invictus, Helios, Mithra), who is the spirit of Antichrist spoken of in Revelation 9:11, who happens to be the inspiration for both Constantine's and the Roman Catholic Church's change of the Sabbath to Sunday. In the destruction of Jerusalem and the 2nd temple by the Romans, the wing of abominations referred to the eagle idols to Zeus-Jupiter (the same god) carried on poles into the city by the soldiers as they surrounded Jerusalem. Who oversaw this destruction? The one whom they crucified.

The Lord is perfect in his ways, he is greatly pleased with his son Jesus, and Jesus says the Lord will be greatly pleased with us if we are a part of his family. So what are the three events ? How many years have we got left on this earth to live a normal life ? 😢

Jesus said "tear down THIS TEMPLE, and I will build it back in three days", he was speaking of his body. If you are a true follower of the Christ, the holy spirit is within you. Your body is the 3rd temple. Is corrupting your DNA the "abomination" that makes your temple desolate? Meaning the holy spirit cannot remain in your temple? Unaltered DNA has the name YHWH written upon it.

It's a poignant subject especially now, i assume that some or many may assume wrongly about current events & ive met a few christians over the years who've said the details in "Revelation" has long ago happened" ...i could only think "have they read it?" I'm far from a theological expert but it's long been clear to me what must happen before Jesus returns. In some conversations i'd point out what i'd read on 2 or 3 scriptural points, as heard in the vid' relating to the Trib' & 'The abomination that .." i.e. the antichrist declaring himself as God, putting his throne on the holiest of places & the 3 witnesses seen worldwide before Jesus returns "lest there be no flesh left"

Satan will be bound here on earth for a 1000 years with nobody to temp as we will be in heaven and the rest will be burnt up at Jesus 2nd coming.
