Same here. I'm a 21 year old dude who hasn't cried since I was a little kid. I'm 5 episodes into this series and 4/5 episodes have had me in tears. Especially this scene I had a hard time with God growing up but gave my life to him 2.5 years ago and this brought me right back to the day God poured his grace onto me and I finally met him half-way.

Amen! You're spot on! The deeper meaning of the laws and rigors of the old testament were unclear to mankind. We just simply couldn't get it right lol. JESUS had to come down himself to not only fulfill the law, but to also explain the deeper meaning behind it of justice, mercy, and faithfulness: Matthew 23:23-24 (NIV): “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices-mint, dill, and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law-justice, mercy, and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel." Then he proceeds to do this against the status quo until the Pharisees' (and the Romans') faces turn blue and they execute him. This all happening of course on HIS terms because it is HE who ALLOWED it to take place. What an undeniably selfless and loving act by GOD HIMSELF! I love my JESUS with ALL my heart! Thank you JESUS for washing away my sins with your blood. 🙏🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🙏

We all struggle with sin. Dont beat yourself up. You do not suck at free will at all. Life is a 50/50 game & we ALL make bad choices sometimes. Thats the way it was intended. If God didn't know that & even intended it; there would have been no need for us to be redeemed at all. Whats that saying?: 'The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak'. He knew that & intended that. THAT is the test. Not to see how well you can cruise through life, making no mistakes. He wants to see how willing that spirit is, through it all & at the end of it all. That's why we were redeemed. Our flesh was released from its sin. Our Lord & saviour Jesus Christ, already cleared that debt. The spirit is what He wants. Your willingness to see Him & follow Him & you have & are, no matter how much you may feel that you stumble. Even Mary herself, stumbles later if you keep watching the series & she comes back to Him & is instantly forgiven. If you remember the scene where Jesus first meets Mary, you'll realise why that scene had such an impact on you personally, as it has so many others; myself included. I believe Jesus explained it far better, than I ever could: "Thus", said the Lord who created you & He who formed you. "Fear not for I have redeemed you. I have called you by name. You are mine" How do I know this to be a true fact? Because you can already see your bad choices. Give the Lord time & yourself, allowances for being human. Know that He loves you through all your flaws. He sees the heart within & that's obviously good enough for Him or He wouldn't have called you & allowed you to see Him & feel Him. Stay strong in your struggle & realise that you are part of a very large family & our father; is the most loving & patient father of them all. He doesn't ask you not to stumble. He asks you to turn to Him, when you do. He's got your back. Dont make the same mistake that I have in my life for so long. Do not question your own worth in the eyes of God. Just recognise that you are loved beyond measure & that love, has the power to right every wrong in your life. Trust in Him. He's got you & the rest of the family are cheering you on. Believe in you. He does. Love, blessings & prayers to you & for you 🙏 ❤

When you are tempted, pray, and when prayer is not enough, get up and walk away from what poisons you. See yourself as a better person, and do so each day, because each day is it's own battle. God loves you, and God is with you. Healing is not instant, no, but with prayer and petition you will be healed. Have faith and know that we love you. Christ Jesus is your Savior, and He will fight for you.

Tears to my eyes. Immediately affected. I am getting on in years, but these scenes bring the gospel stories of Jesus to life. Jesus redeems. Jesus brings people to life, whether dead or alive. There are deaths without physically dying. Spiritual death is so prevalent. Physical death part of life. But many of us don't know that we are dead inside. It is the soul and the heart and mind that Jesus redeems and changes. This is a realization that has to be moving within us each day, like the dawning of the sun and a new calendar day, day after day. I have had a renewed interest in the gospels. Of all the figures of spirituality I've ever been exposed to, Jesus is the one that comes to life and changes you from within even two thousand years apart from his time on earth. Just transformative.

It must have been incredible hard for Mary to fight the demons within her, under their control no doubt caused her to do many things she was not proud of, and in her lucid moments brought nothing but sorrow and an unwillingness to live anymore. The love and compassion of Jesus is for ALL those who have reached that point in their life. You ARE worthy irregardless of what you may think of yourself, just pray for Jesus help and He will be there. For Jesus it has been and will always be about love for all of us.

Whats amazing about this is not only is it obvious that he quotes the scripture which is burned in her heart and means something to her specifically, but it also states who He is. Jesus reveals himself to her outright: Mary: Who are you? Jesus: Thus says the Lord who created YOU. What a powerful and truly moving scene and message!

Oui, j'ai vu d'autres films sur la vie de Jésus, mais The Chosen est le premier ou l'on peut sentir quelque chose de très puissant dans certaines scenes.

Yes this scene is powerful, because Jesus don't play. Oh I remember the alcohol, even until the last drop, especially tear drop. I hated every bit of inch of who I was. Couldn't stand looking at the man in the mirror. Pain, all I could see was hate. Why would this happen to someone so innocent as me, I didn't do anything wrong. It took me five years to sober out completely. And I'm glad everyday I am sober. Jesus let me live reality of my pain to eventually see I did need him everyday.
