Thank you Cat; I really needed to hear what you had to say. I have spent too much time trying to decide which book/devotional, etc., to start with, and haven’t even spent time in the Bible yet. I think my many year’s of Precept studies put me on a path for really learning a lot about the Bible, but not developing a habit of just reading the Bible and waiting on the Lord to lead me where He wants me to go. Not really developing a personal relationship with God, talking, praying to God has left me feeling lost, and like I have really missed something special. So, thank you for opening my heart, mind and soul. You are filled with the Holy Spirit, and He guides you when you do these video’s. I like that you say it from your heart because that is where the Spirit is. You are a perfect example to me of living like Christ; you wear Him on you sleeve for all to see. I 💜 you Sis, you are a real blessing to me.

Excellent video Cat! I often get bogged down in choosing a reading plan. Once I start a plan then I often see others doing something else & I think I should be doing that too so I start a new plan. It causes me to barely get any study done at all! I like what you said about Bible study being different for everyone & that it can be different every day. Thanks for this video! 💛

Hey You are totally correct All of us are responsible and accountable for seeking It starts with us Start reading His word and as you diligently seek Him, the Holy Spirit will take over and lead each of us personally in teaching and instruction Each of us will have our own personal experience The more exposure/experience grows to a deeper personal relationship that edifies the whole body of Christ where there are many members

Wow, you’ve hit the nail on the head with me! I’ve drained Amazon over the last couple of months of devotionals, journaling bibles, study guides, prayer journals etc etc and I’m no further on than when I started. I think it’s all blown my mind a little and become so overwhelming that I’m in a mental mess about where to start! I feel like I’ve spent a ton of cash (that I really don’t have to spare) and it’s actually ended up *distracting* me from God and Our Lady! I have lots of art materials and hand lettering pens everywhere and yet have done practically *nothing* with them! The whole point of me starting this was I had a series of what I would call ‘signs’ from some higher plane, calling me back to the faith I was raised in and as I’d always felt bored silly just reading the bible in school and church, am feel like I can best express things through being visually creative (am completely new to arty stuff though), I thought I was doing the right thing will all these bibles and books and materials and all I’ve done is become broke and more confused than ever 🤦🏻‍♀️ (Edited for grammar)

I am a reborn Christian. I struggled to come back to God and I was stubborn. I fought with him, till He used SCRIPTURE to bring me back on my knees asking for his forgiveness. Jesus quoted scripture a lot in the Bible. It is the LIVING WORD OF GOD. The Bible has the answers. Apostle Paul didn't have self-help books! He listened to God and looked to the Scripture. Find a translation that allows you to come into a closer realationship with Him. God Bless!

Well said, Cat - that is what folks need to hear. It isn't about stickers, books, preachers, etc - It is about God's Word. He gave us His actual words in a Book that we should read, memorize, learn and cherish. The Bible - especially the KJV - will interpret itself and the Holy Spirit will give you understand.

Cat, I so have to agree with you. All those self help, how to do books are all fine BUT you still have to DIVE INTo the Word to the day you are called home. We especially in the west don't have time and seek for a quick fix. We are distracted from what matters. I have been really starting to go deep into the Word (returning to university fourty years later, studying for a degree in Divinity helps) but it's not easy and that's ok. We tend to shy away from intellectual learning and rely in my opinion only in the Holy Spirit to teach us, that's out of balance. Too many people are Sunday Christians. Thank you for speaking the truth my sister.

I've worn out and torn 3 Bibles already, but glued and taped them back together. Sometimes they are hard to replace. I had one that ripped in 6 months of use - not Smyth sewn, but one of my favorites anyway. Now I'm more careful to buy better Bibles so they last longer. I'm not that rough on them, either.

Excellent video... what it amounts to is each of us have to have our own intimate relationship with God, and you only get that with the Holy Spirit living inside you and by nurturing that everyday so that your mind is on Him and not things of the world that distract. it is a daily fight... His Word says fight the good fight of faith... as you know I am new to journaling and I am finding that my style is not like everyone else's... I try to connect with the decorations the way others do.. . but the scriptures make me think of something different so I just do what I feel led to do and so far it isn't fancy or as creative as some. But it is unique like me. Because each of us are uniquely and wonderfully made by Him. love your ministry... keep on keeping on. love you sis

So true! Thanks for sharing that Cat. At the end of the day it's just you and Him. It can seem daunting and it can seem scary, and it can feel lonely. it's all about connecting with God and building relationship with Him. we all have a separate intimate relationship a place inside ourselves that's private for God alone. when people want to replicate what you do or have you give them a play by play of what you do exactly they may not be understanding the personal relationship part. you can't walk their walk and they haven't walked yours. You are doing all you can to point them in the right way. Sometimes we see others as being so close to God and we want what they have but don't understand what they have been through to get there. I read about Apostle Paul's life and think I wish I had that closeness, but he went through beatings,stoning, imprisonment, abandonment,and so much more to get to that place.we have to ask ourselves What am I really willing to put in or go through to get there if asked? It is tough. But we have to Keep, seeking, Keep knocking, and keep looking to His word. Thanks Cat for shining and sharing.love you xoxo

As always sis, you are so inspirational and right on point! I read not long ago that if we were to receive a letter addressed to us from the King of a country, would we read it and treasure it? How much more should we approach the Bible as the most important letter from our King and Lord God!

This is kinda like all the different ways to memorize scripture. The best way to memorize scripture is to get into it daily.
