9 жыл бұрынIt was Blaise Pascal who noted, "There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of every man which cannot be filled by any created thing, but only by God, the Creator, made known through Jesus." In our text today, we find a woman, the city prostitute who acutely felt the need to have the vacuum of her heart filled. She discovered that Jesus loved her with a wholesome love-the kind of love every woman is searching for.
This teaching is from our series Jesus Loves People with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Albuquerque.

Prostitutes or harlots are also humans, it is not by their choice that they enter such vice trade. People must be sympatatic to prostitutes. God please have mercy and grace to prostitutes.

I live in Denver and listen to Skip every day while I’m working. I was never into Jesus until I almost died in a motorcycle accident. Now I know the meaning of ‘blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.” I’m grateful to Skip for being a highly articulate pastor who can explain it to me.

Jesus Paid it ALL. ALL to him I owe. Sin has left a crimson stain, but YOU washed it white as snow. Our righteous acts are " like filthy rags!" Anything we do that comes close to "righteous" is because of God in us. " Your blood shed" leveled the playing field for all us sinners. Oh Thank YOU LORD!!!!

I am a former prostitute. I appreciate the compassion in this sermon. Childhood sexual abuse is a factor in many sex workers lives. Protect children. Sex in exchange for money is NOT empowerment, many are confused about this today.

Yes, in another sermon, Skip mentions that sinner was a term that was also used for unbelievers.

In actual fact it’s not his religion that made him judgmental .. it’s his own judgment towards himself that made him judgmental .. all judgment towards another is just a projection of the judgment you think about yourself ...when you judge others you are only judging yourself

Amen pastor tell the Truth.. Thank GOD I saw this Channel, because I was looking for something about Washing Feetvof Jesus to share in my FB.. Heared and believed how PastorS wisdom came from GOD.. And his preachings Must be told in such time as this.. Man must not Judge but how to save Others from this wicked ways.. The reason why Jesus keep telling times of Noah, days of Jonah, Sodom and Gomorrah, the Story of Pompei is the example that this worlf keep using Child, man and woman Misinterpreted by other people thats why they keep abusing themselves and others.. And their excuse they willl stay Harlot because they are always forgiven..some become prostitutes doesnt became one without involvement of other people and society.. Thats Why Jesus said GO and Sin no more.. God redeemed our sins.. Thank God He loved US.. GOD bless

I think Jesus just loves everyone champ he’s got no love for prostitution. Don’t take his kindness for weakness when he was on earth it wasn’t his job to judge or punish but rather love and bless others. What happens to all of them after they pass away? You’re so sure he loves them? Sex is sacred with marriage.

I usually enjoy your preaching and find much learning from it. But you saying that her sin was greater than his.. ?? How do you know that? Her sin was well known, his was hidden. How much of his sin that was hidden is not known to us. Also the text does not say she was a prostitute, that's only a popular interpretation (especially among men). And if she was she probably wasn't in the trade for fun, but forced to. And the sin of the men using her FAR greater than hers. I'm so sickened and tired by how women's sexual sin somehow always are targeted and made worse than other kinds of sin or the sin of men. It's disturbing that you contribute to that.

Prostitution is not a sin. Selling or forcing a women into prostitution is a sin. Leviticus 19:29 says do not sell your daughters into prostitution. The sin lies with whoever makes a young girl a prostitute. Paul had a problem with the immoral aspects of men abusing prostitutes and not just marrying them or possibly having a wife and not making the prostitute another wife if they were already married(or the fact that the men in Corinthians love sex more than God as when they didn't expurgate a man that slept with his stepmom from their church. Now if the Jews weren't under Roman rule, the man and stepmom would mot likely been put to death). When Rome made polygamy illegal, prostitution increased. If woman can't get married to secure care when their weren't jobs for women, prostitution was the job. Polygamy was never a sin and neither was prostitution.
