Instead of PRAYING which is just wasted energy, time and effort, why don't you simply reach out to your son and tell him you are sorry for being so judgmental and that you chose your own life path as a youngster and you understand that he must do so as well, that you hope he can forgive you and come visit. That will be MUCH more effective. If you so much as mention god, forgiveness to him, or any other judgmental statement you could lose him forever.
