Love the simplicity and humility in these arrangements (and perhaps in the teacher too). So easy to over-play and over-fill with keys, Great tutorial for a great song. Thank you.

Man I love this video so much I really learned so much from not only this video but as well as from your other tutorial videos! I just have a quick question. What kind of piano do you have and how/where can I find a piano that'll have the kind of soft pads you use with your music?

This is a WONDERFUL tutorial! Thank you so much. I do have a question. In the part of the song where he repeats, "Our hearts adore" a few times and you are just doing the whole notes, I am having a hard time figure out which notes you are hitting. I believe the first set of notes is a B in the right hand and a G# and D# in the left and then the second set of notes is an F# and C# in the right hand with an A# in the Left, and then the 3rd I believe is G# B and E in the right with E octaves in the left. But then the camera moves and it sounds like you change it up a bit. Can you tell me what you are playing for the rest of that little interlude part? Thank you so much. Your tutorial is SO clear and easy to follow. That was the only part I couldn't get.

That's a F#/B. It's the 7 you're hearing which is A#- the 3rd of F#

What does the term "Block Chords" mean?
@dannybracy5086
@dannybracy5086 8 жыл бұрын
It is when you play more than one key to make a chord. (Sorry I don't know the exact definition) For example, the C chord is played with three keys, C, E, and G. This is a block chord. Same thing for vocal too, in vocal harmony, the person singing the melody would be singing a C, for example, while the harmony would sing an E. Hope this was helpful ☺

We've got a hater! We've got a hater! lol!!! oh man... Very condescending, I have to question your motives, even if you are right. Hater and a troll. Can't take you seriously, even if you know music theory.

Sorry I know it's already been a couple of years, but if you haven't found your answer ye: A block chord essentially means when you play a group of notes together at the same time to make a chord. The opposite would be a broken chord which is playing the notes of a chords one after another instead of at the same time.
