Materials used
Reused cardboard boxes cut into the size
Wood glue Any glue which goes well with paper can be used
Tape to secure the sheets and make it water proof
Fabric - I used velvet-I suggest water proof /fire retardant upholstery fabric for more durability.
Braided cord -Any strong thread can be used
Button /Pearls
Tassel fringe
Thread n needle

This is awesome!! I have so many boxes and been meaning to get my daughter one she is constantly putting her feet on everything!! We love doing crafts together and this is perfect! One thing I'm going to do though Hollow out the middle some and make the lid detachable so she can put stuff in it Thank you so much!!

Pretty creative idea!!! One thing I would do differently is use an adhesive fabric spray glue before sewing so you have the fabric lined up without any bunching or rolls in the fabric. But it's definitely a pretty unique idea and cute!!

Nice idea but that cardboard has not been treated to prevent moisture absorption. Within a year or two it will begin to go moldy/mildew will grow if it is in any area where humidity is high.

Nicely done. Personally... I would have mad the top with a half inch overhang all the way around the top....that way depending on how you sit on it and how much you weigh.... No pinching. Of course.... I thought of that based on my experiences as a big girl. Even when I got smaller. Never forget how some commercial furniture would pinch on the edges..it occurs to me, that if something is made for comfort... That would be good...and since this is custom made... Comfort is key. I'll let you know if I attempt it and how I do....don't think it will look this pretty but I'll try.

Ooh, storage idea suggestion! Why not cut out the centers from the middle and upper cardboard layers (like some people do with book pages), line the interior walls like how you did the exterior but minus the foam, and add two tiny hidden hinges and a magnetic clasp. Plus you could also screw some small wheels onto all four corners of its base.
