Jet jon encounters its first set of rapids!

Me and shane take the jet jon on its first river rip and find some pretty good rapids. The boat did better than expected .

@@englandentertainment1530 I will probably do a gopro time lapse like you did, I just got the boat this weekend so still in early stages. How do you like the joystick controls? I'm not sure if I want a joystick or like a dragster butterfly shaped wheel and a finger throttle

It's pretty good man. I was on a time crunch so my options were limited but I would like to do one with the steering wheel one day

If you guys built an engine cover of sorts it might quiet down the engine so its not so loud AND would double as storage for the coolers and stuff if you put some tie down points and rails on it.

So I was just at the old carbonton damn scouting to see if you could get a jet boat in there! I am trying to source all the parts at the moment for my own jet Jon. Any tips?

This was my first one I've ever built so I'm still learning a lot just by using the boat! We took it out this weekend and beat on it and it seems to be holding up great! I have all the build footage and stuff that I can try to make a video out of if that would help you out!

Its a Rotax out of a 96 seadoo sp and it does about 40

It ran 35 with 2 people and a cooler! I think it'll do around 40 with just one person

It's almost like mud flap material it's like a rubbery plastic material they sell roles of it at Home Depot from there you got to glue it on the bottom and riveted it together or glue it and bolt it up there's a couple videos on KZfaq similar to what I did how to rockproof your boat it's so worth it shits to fun
