I use mine for a recipe book! I label the front and tabs with washi tape and it's super convenient to rearrange papers. If I had an A5 size (or something similar), I'd use it as a D&D campaign journal, but the small Maruman ones are just too small for that, unfortunately.

Writing a novel. Use the Index Card method of plotting/ outlining. Write a brief description of the scene on the front of a page, and the who/where/when/why on the back. Shuffle around and add/ delete as needed. Use with an A4 binder to hold maps, character profiles, etc. Print out drafts, stick them in a compatible binder, and now you have even more space for editing notes. Keeping track of wordcount goals or time editing ( or cups of coffee drank or money spent at cafes) As a pocket notebook for those moments of inspiration, books/podcasts to check out, sharing contact info or those bits of overheard conversation that you just have to write down

Maybe this is extremely niche, but I've been tackling my yard and making a journal of all the plants I have, diagrams of where I've planted things, and notes about future things to get. I've also been taking notes and pictures of the invasive plants I need to remove, plus local native replacements. Now I want to make an invasive plant ID binder could to keep with my tools or taking to friends houses when they ask for yard help. But also what a super cute gift for a new homeowner who maybe doesn't know about yard stuff yet? you can customize it for your specific area, etc.

I learned about mini binders from previous vids. I recently got the Kokuyo one in A5 size bc I couldn't keep track of my 8 engineering projects (I'm in civil engr) and I was getting stressed losing track of to-dos. I was getting stressed to the point I had stress induced "ice pick" headaches that I've never had before and had to call in sick one day so I could rest and figure out if acetaminophen or ibuprofen was better at holding the sharp pains at bay. My division uses some pre-made spreadsheets for weekly or biweekly mtgs with supervisors, but those are only good for discussing the current status of each project. These don't let u keep track of meetings and events w extensive note, but notes give u context and jog ur memory for the many, many details each project has. I use my binder as a notebook to keep track of meeting notes, to do's, and due dates separated by project. Before I was keeping track of everything in chronological order in one notebk.... But of course that makes looking for notes by project extremely hard. However, I also didn't want 8 notebks bc I'd def lose at least half by placing them in random places. I also like hardcopy bc I get distracted easily on phone or PC. It's too easy to get lost in a rabbit hole due to email, files along file paths, or even notifications by MS Office. Neither MS Word or Excel work well as notebk replacements either. A physical notebook can also be brought to different offices or in the field when u can't bring ur PC. I've only had my notebk system for 1.5 wks, so we'll see how it goes. But so far it seems to be going really well. One supervisor asked about 2 mtgs I had and I was able to flip to my notes and brief her. I also started writing my notes for 1 mtg in the wrong section, but was able to open the rings and move the notes to the appropriate project's section.

I’m a HUGE fan of my Maruman mini binder. I’ve been using it every day for about a year now, as my to-do list and meeting note keeper. I have a small Sketchmark Bookmark Stencil for checkboxes and list elements (hint hint, JetPens! You need to carry this!) that I keep in the clear zip pocket. It’s super easy to just put the binder in my pocket and go to meetings, and I keep it open on my desk all day. Pairs well with a .5 or .4 multi-pen, for small writing and doodling. I love it!!

I am often looking to make notes or jot ideas while I am at my desk...usually in front of a screen. Instead of a scrap, that I would lose or a full size binder that would necessitate rearranging the entire desk, a mini-binder that would allow me to move my notes into a larger format while not taking up so much space...🤔I'm making room in the budget! 💚💚

I have never been more excited for a JetPens video! I have a couple of these because I love using the refills in larger binders. I never thought of using the sheet protectors as a white board, and I love the vocab refills! I can definitely see how these will be useful for studying and many more uses. Right now I am using mine now for an upcoming travel. Schedule refill to plan the days, lined and line colored refill to hold info on specific places, hotel reservations, etc. I want to visit, card holders for transit cards, instax mini photos, and washi boards, and zipper pocket for random papers we all tend to collect. I usually use a TN A5 slim to journal and scrap book, then keep that as my trip souvenir in the TC binder. I was having trouble figuring out how to keep the Maruman papers in the TC binder with the notebook for after the trip is done, but TC has a kraft envelope that fits these perfectly that I can glue to the inside covers! The One day binders and scrapbooking refill would be perfect if you don't want to journal too much; everything can stay in there forever all in one place!

I’m having deja vu all over again...as I mentioned about the Sun-Star Delde Smand pen cases in a recent video, I have 2 of these mini binders, also: 1 navy Maruman Into-One & 1 Session. 😬💸 I’m a scrapbooker & use the 1st one, filled w/graph paper, to plan my page layouts. I think I decided the 2nd one, which just arrived a few days ago, is just for personal use - those little things you scribble down in a big notebook & want to save, but (1) you may not use a whole page & (2) you can’t rearrange spiral-bound pages.

Disc binders are another great option because they come in different sizes and it is super easy to “peel and press'' the pages from a smaller binder into bigger binders. It is super easy to Peel out the pages as well just to write on them without the interference of the binding, and then press them back into place. With a disk punch, it’s super easy to type up and print out your notes on whatever size page you want and press the study notes or whatever back into the binder of your choice.

Was thinking of using one for a commonplace book because I know I want different sections (for example musings separate from quotes), but I really don’t know how big to make each section. With a binder the sections would grow organically and I wouldn’t have to worry about running out of pages for each section.

Is there a hole punch that corresponds to the rings on these binders? (either the mini or full-sized) Because I'm thinking: watercolor sketchbook! Punch holes in professional-grade watercolor paper and create your own mini-sketchbook! And you could remove pages from it and add them to a larger notebook, like you show for the student notes, creating a gallery of sketches, maybe showing how your skill improves over time. Could be brilliant!

Not with Jetpens in anyway, but I'm pretty sure if you have a standard 26 hole punch it will align with these. Looking at the website, Jetpens has the "Carl Gauge 30 or 26 hole Punch" on the Refills tab of the larger Binder shown in the video

I know this is probably a sponsored/highlighted brand video but I am very much a "everything bad that can happen absolutely will" person, and mini binders are so stressful to me. You could lose them. You might break one if it ends up under something heavy. You'll run out of pages in the middle of class if you aren't careful. I am getting a headache just imagining having to rely on these.

Uh-oh, a Compulsive Stationery Worrier! I’ve been there, done that...this is my checklist: 1) You won’t lose a mini-binder, because it fits in your pocket or in a small bum-bag or a pocket in your school/work bag. 2) If you have it safely in a pocket or other carrying solution, it won’t get squashed or broken. Falling anvils only happen in cartoons. It’s too small to chock car tyres, or use as a doorstop. Maybe on a small door, if you really insist. 3) If you put an extra packet of your favourite paper in a pocket, you’ll have it if your pages fill up quickly. Always plan ahead, and carry an extra writing utensil as well. 4) The plastic “card” sleeves will also hold a tablet of paracetamol, aka acetaminophen. Take a deep breath, and relax...you are among friends, and we’re all going to get through this together, pas de problème. Just imagine how neat the mini-binder is...how perfect...how useful... Best of luck to you. 😜
