Any real niner fan? Knock that bs off this was back in 1998 and "any real niner fan" or noraml human being would enlighten you that not everyone is born on the same date to remember seeing this or to even see this. I was 5 years old at the time and I can guarantee you it was on our tv but I don't remember it at all thus I was 5 years old but being a niner fan I have seen reruns of it several times over the years to where I can remember it just like I was there to see it. Any real fan of any team wouldn't talk like they are just the truest fans because they witnessed something in that moment in time that some weren't able to. I drive about 2000 miles a season to attend at least a few games at Levi's stadium and candlestick (before that). "real fans" that talk and act like you just piss me off and make me laugh at the same time. Knock it off man it's ridiculous. So my kids can't grow up real fans then is what you saying? cause they weren't around for that?

I mean week 1 anything can happen to be honest. But I’m a Niners fan and I wish nothing but the best for the Jets since we gave them Robert Salah. Salah is a man’s man and one of the best DC’s I’ve ever seen. It’s just a shame they haven’t been able to get the QB/OC figured out. Good luck this season Jets fans, only after week 1 of course

I'll never forget that OT win. The Jets were already celebrating pinning the 49ers inside their 10, thinking they'll get a quick stop and a good field position for a short FG drive or maybe even get a safety. That's when I learned not to overreact to getting pinned, or pinning the other team, because it's almost just as likely for an offense to have that one big play as it is for a defense to get a safety.

I was at a beach house in Ocean City, MD. I was sitting on the front porch watching the game by myself. My "friends" were out having fun while I was biting my fingernails watching a really good game. As the time got short in regulation, guys that were walking by would ask the score and time left and started hanging around to watch the game. By the time overtime started there were about 12 of us crowded around a 32" t.v. I was the only 49ers fan on the porch. That Garrison Hurst run is BURNED IN MY MIND FOREVER! The porch ERUPTED at he ran that ball (please watch it on YT now). I was high-fiving and hugging dudes i did not know! The run was not easy. He had to put hands on some folks on the way to the house. GH was a smaller back, but he was ALL KNEES AND ELBOWS on that trip! Sorry Rich, but that was a Top 100 NFL play my dude! GH fried them Jets up like catfish! Bang-Bang!
