Awesome ski...but be mindful of with surf conditions weather conditions and so many other factors once you notice the gauge dropping you may be over half way back to dock.Nice setup though.Way better than mine.I only go on our local lakes so no need for extra fuel.I'm running a 2003 polaris MSX 140HO and love the big back deck.Made my own rack.Do you use Facebook?

Excellent video. I've read about others doing that fuel mod to the Kawasakis but never as clear as your explanation. Thanks. Does the Ski suffer 'Porpoising' (ie: Rocking Horse action) with the weight of the tank on the back? I have a Seadoo GTX and put a bladder tank in place of the front cargo compartment. Works well but I have to use an electric transfer pump rather than the siphon system you've been able to use. Enjoy the water.

crom29a the 10 gallons only adds about 60lbs of weight, & I haven’t had any issues with porpoising.

Thumbs up from Toledo, Ohio. Thanks for taking the time to explain the fuel line delivery setup. It's nice to see somebody taking the time to video document what they did with the reason why. I am curious, does the $800 catch bag include the aluminum frame as well? I would like to have seen some video of the install along the way. I have a little experience with the Ultra Jet Ski, and the problem a friend ran into was the rear located supercharger. It basically blocked the entire back side of the jet ski from any kind of mods. The only way to get around the supercharger was to take it off. Did you take off the supercharger to install the transducer? Did you mount the transducer inside the Yamaha as well? Would love to see those details.

Loren P. Great questions/suggestions! The bag does include the rack system & two stainless ratchet straps & 1 stainless turn buckle strap to tie it down. I’ll get a vid together soon on the bag/rack system. I used the Airmar P79 on both skis, and placed in the back corners. On the Ultra, I had to remove the water box and air filter box (mine isn’t supercharged). The Yamaha I didn’t have to remove anything. I should probably do a video specific to just the fish finder installs.

I’m picking up a ski soon but I can’t decide on the Yamaha or Kawasaki... what do you recommend for fishing in Oregon?
@PNWJetskiFishingLLC5 жыл бұрын
jonahmuller either ski is a solid option. My preference is with the Kawasaki since it’s the simplest design of the skis. but Yamaha seems to be the most popular. Make sure to check out PNW Jetski Fishing FB Group & website. We coordinate fishing trips fairly often on the FB group & can answer questions about setup etc.

I went with the Kawasaki! What kind of transducer are you running to shoot through the hull?
@PNWJetskiFishingLLC5 жыл бұрын
jonahmuller Airmar P79. Set it at max angle. The spot I got mine is behind the water box (muffler). Before you seal in in place make sure everything clears with the transducer in the cup.

Which ski is better on rough waters? I think kawi, but I'll like your opinion seens you been out there for real..
@PNWJetskiFishingLLC2 ай бұрын
The Kawasaki has great rough water handling but at the cost of feeling more unstable when stopped. I’d say the Yamaha is a good balance of both, and the Seadoo is the rougher ride of the 3, but has the best stopped stability

Dumb question but do jetskis consume less gas than small boats?
@PNWJetskiFishingLLC4 жыл бұрын
Mark Smith not a dumb question, from what I’ve seen skis are roughly twice as efficient

not seeing trolling speed (
@PNWJetskiFishingLLC5 жыл бұрын
Tyrone Achee they’ll idle in the ocean at roughly 3mph, I tie a Velcro strap around the throttle to get in the 4-6mph range for tuna...and partially engage the reverse bucket to get down to 2mph for salmon
@Papergames14635 жыл бұрын
@@PNWJetskiFishingLLC but what kind of gph at those speeds? Just trying to get a guage to see how efficient this engine will be for trolling. I see in south Africa they add a small 6hp outboard to the back of the ski for trolling to save fuel.
@PNWJetskiFishingLLC5 жыл бұрын
Tyrone Achee check out www.pnwjetskifishing.com/single-post/2017/11/22/Fuel-Economy-for-Jet-Ski-Fishing on fuel burn. A full day of trolling for tuna & the run out/in burns about 20 gallons for my ski, some get better some worse
@Papergames14635 жыл бұрын
what kind of fuel consumption do u get whilst trolling for tuna?

Wasted money and time on that ski, just buy a real boat. Way to much money for a ski
@PNWJetskiFishingLLC5 жыл бұрын
John Wayne to waste time & money on a boat? This ski cost less than an engine for a boat that handles the same water. 🤷♂️
