I've used the Air 2 for storm chasing since its release so many years ago. VERY excited about that 70mm length to get closer to the lightning without risking the drone's health! Can't wait to purchase this! Thanks for the detailed video

I have the Air 1, Air 2 and now the Air 3. I also have the Mini 2. All fantastic drones. But the 70mm lens is a game changer for me and the Air 3 gives me the ability to film at night and actually capture some amazing detail. I broke my shoulder and right hand about 2 years ago in a motorcycle accident so the longer battery life actually stresses my fingers but I'm getting ready to try out the cruise control feature. I like doing long range flights and this feature alone made the high price worth it to me. I haven't found anything I don't like about the Air 3. It checks all the boxes. Cheers!

Waypoints is the biggie for me. Coming from a $500 Phantom 3 standard that had waypoint I was always disappointed my $1K Air2S didn't have waypoints. They've finally fixed that on the Air 3 and that's huge! It really does bump this platform into another category.

Thanks for the review! Been looking at an upgrade from my Mini 3 Pro and that 70mm with a proper sensor is exactly what I need. I think you forgot to put the end screen in though. Had to look that video up 😀

Don’t forget to mention it’s a stacked sensor and in normal light it outclassed the air 2s. Also hdr video. Great review man !

Dual cameras, omnidirectional obstacle avoidance,waypoints, & the bigger heavier drone is great for the wind plus you longer flight time.

Thanks for the review of what appears to be an excellent drone. I won't be upgrading my Air 2 as it does everything I need. However, the 360 obstacle avoidance is interesting as flying sideways into objects is the only damage to my Air 2.

@@Doingnumbersco of course my friend, I am an Artist manger for a pastry chef. We do reviews of local coffee shops and restaurants to acquire an audience we then funnel to our recipe videos / box sale & pop ups. I use the mini 3 pro for establishing shots of the locations and have the DJI phone gimbal for interior shots. On my free time I am a drone hobbyist, I recently ordered the DJI Avata to compliment my Mini3P. In the fall I will order the air 3 to replace the Mini for work so that I can not feel so pressured flying the Mini for fun in case I break it.

@@Doingnumbersco I will say tho if you want work, get you a Mini 3 pro or the Air 2s or 3 (swing the 3 if you can). Go get your time in the sky by going to parks to practice, the amount of people that will walk up to you is insane in my case at least. Also if you go flying at night at places with a lot of light and people you will be approached for work. I have to turn people down almost every time I go fly, I’ve had car people,weddings, and freelancers want to put me on. Get your licenses & I’d even say liability insurance if you can and if it makes sense financially for your business. Oh and Business cards with your social media handles maybe get fancy and throw a QR code on their to with a link to your website or link tree (or beacons whatever is clever)

Hey Jeven. Love your videos: it's straight to the point and as the same time comprehensive, very informative, you're using great landscapes and images, it's clear and concise even for a non native English speaker... Simply put, it's (almost) perfect. Thanx for doing this! Just 1 little comment that I noted on many of your drone videos (the reason I say "almost" perfect), is how often you say the word "drone". Apparently (using transcript and word counter), you've said it 84 times in this video only (every 11.5 sec or 5-6x per minute). It's just been dragging my attention away as I'm a bit of an ADD... in fact, very tiny things like that can make me lose focus, too bad... maybe I'm the only one, in that case just forget it. But in case you've been told already, maybe that's the little itchy thing that you can correct. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for your review of this drone. In the beginning, I thought you said you were going to also discuss some dislikes but I don't think I heard you give any which is fine. Apparently, you did not find much you disliked about this new drone. I don't have any immediate plans to upgrade to this drone yet because I am concerned that DJI will pop out an Air 3s just like they did with the Mavic Air 2. That broke my heart because it made my Air 2 as worthless as the Mini 2 when the Mini 3 Pro came out. Maybe "worthless" is not the right word. Thanks again.

Wow, your house is amazing. Everything matches, cars, house, "toys". Incredible! So I recognize the Joshua Trees but there is so much green around. My sister was based in 29 Palms and it looks so different now, 20 years on. Thanks for your video. Loved it. Now I know which drone I will buy. QUESTION: Will it be dumb for me to learn to fly a drone with this DJI Air 3, or should I get a cheap one first? Crashing drones is real. :)

Yeah he mentioned that, you can do waypoints and automate the pathing of the drone so you can focus on camera work

I don’t hear anyone talking about how the nd filters will be a pain until you get dual nd levels. The 1.7 and 2.8 will cause differences

I love the footage you get on this drone. Seems like, you kind of get a little bit of everything good here: 360 obstacle avoidance, occusync 4, good tracking, great battery time and of course the 70mm lens besides the wide-angle lens. I''m just torn, trying to be responsible, money wise, because I already have the Mavic 2 zoom, Air 2S, and the Autel lite plus which has a really decent digital zoom, albeit, not optical, but that drone has adjustable aperture, 5+k footage and I think, all around obstacle avoidance. Well, what's a drone junkie, addict, to do. I guess I'll have to pray about it or at least go out and refly all my other drones, but The one thing I love, is: this drone seems to kind of "have it all" for just a run and grab it situation. I wanted to like the Air 3 but the Magic 3 Pro with 3 cameras and a variable aperture for the main camera is a game changer. Yeah the fly more combo is twice that of the Air 3 but you can’t beat the variable aperture. I’m just not a big fan of having to account for the ND filters.

I still have the old mavic air (1) and the flight time is 10min. at max so you really need to plan it all before otherwise you'll end up not filming all the stuff you need...

I don't know why I have FOMO when i have the Mavic 3 Pro lol. One thing I wish DJI would change in their active track (drones and gimbals) is to pick having the subject on a 3rd of the screen and not dead center every time.

You can position the subject anywhere in the frame. One you have a lock on with active track use your left joystick and gimbal to adjust the subject to a different part of the frame and it will track with the subject there

People are getting put off by the sensor size..but most reviewers are not talking about how this is a "stacked" sensor..smaller in size but better in performance..if you know your cameras "stacked" sensors are way better in reading data hence better quality..

You failed to mention that the Air 3 sensor comes with new technology and, according to most reviewers, the Air 3 look better than the Air 2s even though the sensor is smaller. NEW technology is the key. No way DJI was going to give you the same sensor as the Mini 3 Pro or release a drone the doesn't match or exceed the drone it replaced. (the Air 2s).
