Wasn't in my music comfort zone in the early 90's but Jewel changed that in 1995 with this song. I'll never forget hearing it on the radio in San Diego back then. I was emotionally moved by both her voice and this song. It lives on 27 years later. She's a outstanding vocalist and a incredibly beautiful woman!

I tell people all the time that I love Jewel's music. Every once in a while someone makes fun of me for it. I then tell them that it was her music that helped me through my deployment to Afghanistan. That shuts them up real quick.

This woman is so emotionally agile. She had a hard life, and thats putting it mild. Yet, she decided to not let that turn into stone. Shes able to remain playful, kindhearted, and vulnerable. One may think this beautiful woman singing emotional and spiritual songs is unnatural , cheesy or whatever... but this woman is a very REAL and STRONG woman.
