So many fake watches arriving on the scene, its strange how people are so willing to spend thousands of $ on something and not get it authenticated. I suppose some of us are just not like that here in the UK so we find it a tad strange. I learn so much watching all of you at CRM love the content. @@derbratan01 Buying watches is scary if you are shopping wrong, as long as you deal with someone like CRM or one of the many legit watch dealers you are fine, I was very lucky to find a watch dealer who has been in the business for over 60 years in the next city over from me and just like CRM its a family run business and they know there stuff so I don't have to. if you can't trust your watch dealer you shouldn't be buying from them, it's that simple. if the price is too good that's a huge red flag don't get caught up in the moment like Charlie says.

Absolutely. Pay the experts to authenticate especially someone who has an easily damaged reputation. They will work very hard to protect their reputation and unfortunately will also charge more for that authentication, but for six figures, it needs to be protected.

CRM Jewelers- I think ALL watches should be authenticated, scary thing I heard is in Shenzhen, China where they make "Superclones" they are only in their "rough" stage!! They are planning to use A.I. to clone movements, and all other facets of the watches. In 2 years, that will be the test!!!

We pay state sales tax on behalf of the winner. Regarding any other taxes that winner's have to pay, that depends on the jurisdiction the winner is from and they're all different. Each winner has to take that into account, as we're not tax experts nor can provide tax advice.

But as somebody who has done extensive research into them, they all still have tells. 99% of clones have tells, even on the surface with the dial, finishing, etc. And if it has an exhibition case back, that would make it even easier. Even if it doesn’t, take like 2 minutes to open it up and you can tell. The jeweler who purchased that watch is an idiot, any semi knowledgeable jeweler who deals with watches would be able to almost instantly spot a fake, or at the very least have their suspicions raised.

I heard through the grapevine that they have people waiting in line to buy Rolex Day/Dates & Patek Nautilus etc. with real 18k gold cases and bracelets!😱😱🥲😭 The super super clones that sell for over 1k us are so good that professionals with a microscope get fooled sometimes! Allegedly they’re starting to make Rolex cards that pass the black light tests. They’re making Rolex boxes that are indistinguishable from real. The vast majority of even newbs should be able to tell a solid 18k gold watch from gold plated.🤣😭That’s sad and egregious. It’s already scary with love and respect Charlie. Just wait until you guys see a fake Day/date and/or Daytona with a real 18k case/bracelet.😱😱😱
