What an incredibly kind thing to say. I’m an atheist but the person seeking comfort from the rebbe was well served. Atheist, believer, or in between… kindness is always an expression of love.

Incredible insight, from an understanding, and what seems, very wise and spiritually connected earthling. I heard he is no longer here, and that saddens me for his wisdom is needed now more than ever. I know nothing of Judaism or who he was, but I've prayed, and asked God to please continue to bless and watch over this man.

My son got autism and he say that he was born for nothing because he is 24 years old. now he realized what's he got..but lately he is making an efforts to himself and he has improved autism is something big..than alot peoples think ..❤❤

I don’t believe in God. But what the rabbi just said that man, be it from a place of religion and faith, or not… That perspective, and the impetus to share it, shows a deep level of care and compassion for your fellow man. Rabbi is an OG. I respect that.

There was a time when this diagnosis or observation would have been very problematic for all involved, but most disturbing is for the child who was ignorantly castigated…the Rabbi knew that, and was careful to subvert old ways of thinking.

I've been diagnosed with Autism and it's nice to see someone, especially in the 1990s when not much was known about Autism who has a sensible attitude unlike today's "autism awareness" organizations.

My grandson is Autistic and his mom was very early pregnant she didn't know she was expecting but my grandson kept going to her and touching her abdomen...I ask are you pregnant because Ezekiel sees a baby... when his aunt was pregnant he would lay on her and kiss her baby bump...He is so special

I think you are missing the point. In the 70’s and 80’s an autism diagnosis was considered a sort of aberration, and autistic people were treated as unfeeling, unempathetic, incapable of connection, and excluded from life. The Rebbe is encouraging the opposite: individuals on the autism spectrum are sensitive, deeply empathic and should be included. He is speaking as a religious and spiritual person to another and emphasizing neurodivergent inclusivity and dignity for all.
