In June 1944, the German territory begins to shrink and the risk of being murdered as a Jew and forced laborer increases.
Norbert Wollheim is a Jew who was forced to work in a Berlin factory from September 1941. In March 1943, he and his family were deported to Auschwitz. The SS subjected him to forced labor like a slave. Many stories of suffering began and ended with forced labor and incineration. For example, that of former forced laborer Nadezhda Slessareva.

I have been saying this as much as possible. Idgaf if people think I'm chicken little and the sky is falling. As long as we allow any sort of camp, labor, destruction like this we are actually worse than the WWII Germans. We have history and know better. I'm Native American and my people had very little to do with any of this but my heart still apologizes. Man is the worst beast.

As the grandson of Holocaust survivors I absolutely agree. We said never again… yet there are concentration camps in China filled with Uighur Muslims… slave laborers who manufacture things in our very homes today … this realty is unacceptable. We promised never again - and we are failing. As a South African Jew I’m ashamed at the silence …

Fun fact: Albania had more Jews after WWII than the beginning of the war. An Albanian Code of Honor called Besa, allowed Albanians to claim Jews as their family members thus making them Albanian. This helped them and hid them from Germans. Virtually all Jews in Albania survived and even more Jews that fled from other countries found shelter there.

I have a friend who had to lie about his age and name to emigrated to Canada, his family had business in Poland ect, he can't prove anything due to no documentation ect. He's now 96 years young and living his life as happy as possible. He survived Auschwitz and the death march. Absolutely awful suffering.

I applied for a mechanical engineering job with a company called Siemens AG working on wind turbines. I found out later that the company was a manufacture conglomerate during WW2 and used slave labour from camps to manufacture “war time” items

Interesting and informative. Excellent photography job enabling viewers to better understand what/whom the orator was describing. Special thanks to all civilians/prisoners/camp guards. Sharing personal information/camp experiences thru diaries/memoirs. Enabling historians to replicate those accounts for future generations like us to know the facts over fiction.

I can not think of any way to atone for the murder of millions of Jews and other innocent civilians in concentration camps. What is done is water over the dam, so to speak; it can not be undone or reversed. May the ones who ordered the killing of the prisoners on death marches have their names remembered in infamy, bitter reproach, and utter shame for all time on this earth, as well as those who actually perpetrated them.

Those people are on just about every video related to the Holocaust. It's very sad to see how little we've developed in terms of humanity (obviously not everyone) over the years. Technological advancements, the internet and other creations should be used as learning tools to help us understand our flaws and mistakes of the past. Unfortunately, they're increasingly used to mock, bully and harass others instead for 'amusement'.

I remember seeing the tattoos as a kid, young, very young, in the 70's and 80's and all I wanted to do was hug them. It was usually at the Base pharmacies. My parents didn't hide the facts, they taught us young what happens when evil lives in the light.

I sometimes saw the tattooed numbers when I worked in a hospital. We treated all our patients the same as far as care and respect, we cared meticulously for them. But when we got someone who’d been in a camp, well, there was a certain reverence and compassion that came out. I’ve got many books on the Holocaust and WWII, and reading what these people suffered and seeing people who’d survived that still makes me want to gather up all of them in a huge rocking chair and hug them and comfort them. I want to do that for all who died so horribly. It can only be done mentally; the hugs, the rocking chair, the love and comfort. Edit: God bless you and your parents for such compassion and the way they taught you.

Watching this, called to mind the work of the European Council and the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe which led to the Helsinki Final Act in 1975. The former developed the European Convention on Human Rights, while the latter formally reached an agreement on their applicability. It appears that lip service was paid to upholding these basic human rights, with grave consequences for the people interned and maltreated in this way.

It doesn't become murderous it is murderous. You cannot say he was a Jew; he is Jewish, and he had to suffer for that. It is not a crime to be any religion that a person chooses or born into. Thank God for all those who survived to tell the Real Truth of all that happened. The Jews won the war because they lived to tell, remember: Life always finds away. God Bless the survivor's and May Peace come to all those beautiful, innocence souls who crossed over. I do thank you for blocking out some pictures of images out of respect for those deceased, thank you. So many victims without proper burial is the extremely sadden cases especially to survivors whose family buried in mass graves. My God to these horrors... When I think about those who took part in the deaths and force labors, I think sure, they got off Scott Free but Karma does knock on their door eventually while the others were sentenced to death or jail. Pay back also comes around. What a person puts out into the world finds a way back to you. All I can say is choose your intentions wisely because a lot of people have no conscious.

Thankfully the pastors who preach the true Gospel of Jesus Christ do more teaching these days unless the topic is end times prophecy, which is often since prophecy has been fulfilled up to the Church being removed so Tribulation can begin. People are given the choice, but it still makes me wonder, even though I know, why so many people care nothing for their soul and walk the wide road lit by the dark light. Eternal hell has no appeal to me, and the warning of it is enough to make me choose Jesus. Really it’s not what made me choose; I chose Jesus because only He loved me enough to die for my sins. I’m looking to go Home whenever He’s ready for me. We all have an ‘expiration date’ but I look for Him to call up the Church any time. How wonderful! How comforting to have my Savior.
