VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
This is the third part of the Solar Triad Calculation series tutorial. It’s about how to match the BMS - battery management system, battery bank, and hybrid inverter. This is very useful for those who are planning to DIY a battery bank instead of buying a “plug-and-play” type battery. This also includes the calculation of how to match a hybrid inverter once you’re done with your DIY battery bank.
I have tackled the basic functions of the battery management system, battery C-rate (charge, discharge & pulse current), and the continuous, and peak power rating of a hybrid inverter. These three need to be properly calculated for the solar power system with regard to safety and performance stability.
Once you are done watching this, I highly suggest that you should also watch Part 1, and part 2. These should provide you a good and valuable knowledge needed to DIY your very own solar power system.
Knowing the theory part should be the first thing to do before diving into spending a lot of money as an investment which might end up wasted without the proper knowledge.

Sir JF napanood ko ung vdio mo na dalawang SCC sa isang panel pro isa ang battery bank pwd bsta pasok sa c rate nag battery bank.. eh kong isang PV at dalawang SCC sir at bawat SCC may tig isang battery bank ung isa gel typ200ah.. at sa isa nman is 100ah na Lifepo4 na 32650.. panel po ay 450wats.. alasjes palang ng umaga full charge na geltyp ko.. plano ko po sana dagdagan ng SCC pro lifepo4 ag isa. Pwd kaya un sir? Salamt

Sir, tanong po ng nag-aaral para intindihin ang solar power system (sample 12V battery pack): 1. Yung pong mga DIY na battery packs, halimbawa lang po Lipo4 na prismatic ang gamitin like 4S4P, madalas kasi napansin ko sa mga ginamitang ng BMS and AB (active balancer) ay yung sa 4S points lang. Wala bang maging problema sa section ng 4P pagdating sa battery charging/discharging ang protection? 2. Sa case sample above, ano po dapat ang ideal na connections for 4S4P na batteries? Dapat po ba na 4S muna bago connect as parallel? or 4P muna bago i-connect as series? 3. From question 2, if 4S muna bago parallel, does it mean ba na dapat may apat na AB para sa 4S points at may isang BMS once combined in parallel para sa 4P points? 4. From question 2, if 4P muna bago series, hindi na po ba need active balancer yung batteries in 4P and dun nalang naka connect yung BMS and AB sa combined series points ng apat na 4P na maging 4P4S na? Sana mapansin at pasensya na sa tanong. Thanks!

Magandang araw sir. Ask ko lang po yong 10volts cutoff ng 12v setup. Bale po matic na kay BMS po yon? Na pag umabot na ng 10v is i-cutoff na nya yong battery discharge?

boss may tanung po aq.. sealed lead acid battery po ang gamit ko.. pag nag charge po siya sa solar umaabot yung battery sa voltage na 14V bakit pag nawawala ang araw bumababa agad siya sa 12.9V ? ang bilis nyang bumaba.. salamat sa sagot boss

Ang cut off voltage ay ang pinakasagad na mababang voltage ng cell. Halimbawa sa LiFePO4 cell ay 2.5V. Ang nominal voltage naman ng LiFePO4 ay 3.2V. Maximum voltage ay 3.65V

Good day. Pwedeng paganahin ng 1.2kW pure sine wave inverter ang 82W na inverter type freezer, pero ang SCC, battery bank st solar panel nyo at kapos sa kalkulasyon. Good day. Ang capacity po ng baterya ay nasusukat sa Ah (amp hour) at hindi po sa watts. Ang sagot po sa inyong tanong ay. kung hindi aabot ng isang taon ang pagitan ng bago at lumang baterya, pwede nyo pong i-parallel, pero kung may isang taon na po, depende na po yan sa quality ng inyong lumang baterya.

Good Day Sir JF. Meron akong set na cylindrical na na 24p 1s 12 volts system na lifepo4, naka lagay sa info ng battery is 5Ah capacity pero base sa total capacity ng battery na nabili is umaabot ng 5.4 A or more daw. Ngayon kung base nalang sa 5A na total capacity tapos 24p 1s 12v, base sa computation ng C-Rate ng battery ng 32650 ang default na 1C rate 120AH then ang 3C is 15A ang kaya at ang 0.5rate is 2.5 charge rate kapag multiply yun ng 24p x 0.5A = 60A ang kailangan na bms para sa safe zome ng battery. Either 120A discharging and 60 charging current na bms? Sakto po ang bms na ito? Kase ang nabili ko ay 100A/50A puedi pasok pa din sya kase di sya lampas sa safe zone ng battery na 24p 1S na dapat ang charging nya lang dapat ay 60A na kalahati ng buong 120AH total capacity ng battery bank. @@JFLegaspi hindi naman lalampas Sir JF yung huhugutin ko na power sa snadi 1000w system namin kase 80% lang ang gusto ko lang na power output sa inverter although 1000w ang rated nya para di naman sya masira kaagad kase napanood ko po yun sa ibang nyong upload video i think 2 years ago. Kaya ang ginawa ko po ay binawasan ko ang Amps breaker to lower size para madali syang mag

Kung 80% (800W) / 220v = 3.63A 3.63A x 125% = 4.54A dahil walang 5A na AC MCB may nakita po ako na 6A MCB para sa output ng SNADi to watt meter to ATS. Tama po ba ang computation ko? 😂

Good day. Kung hindi po kayo sigurado sa kondisyon ng mga nabanggit na solar panels, mas maigi na hindi nyo gamitin. Baka sumakit lang ang ulo nyo dyan kapag nagka problema.

Bumili po ako ng KREON 12v 1kw. Ask ko lang po kung pwede isaksak sa AC (UPS function) kahit wala pang battery. Yung iba kasing inverter nasusunog kapag wala battery or kapag sininok ang BMS ng battery nila. Salamat Scenario: What if nakasaksak na ang battery, then naka AC priority na (UPS function), masusunog po ba ang inverter kapag nasira ang battery? Meron po kasi nangyari nyan nag post sa FB, natulog daw yung BMS tapos nasunog ang inverter dahil sa defective battery. Salamat po sa pag sagot. Appreciated.

Hello sir😊 magtatanong po ulit ako, pwede po bang gamitin ang car battery charger sa solar battery? Gusto ko sana mag diy ng power backup para sa ilaw at electric fan lang na hindi gagamit ng solar panel.. At kung car battery naman ang aking gagamitin, 3sm 80ah motolite battery, plus pure sine wave inverter, parehas lang po ba ng konsumo? Hindi po ba madali/mabilis madischarge ang battery kung 80 watts lang ang load?

Good day. Kung ang gagamitin nyong baterya ay lead acid deep cycle battery, pwede ang car battery charger gamitin. Pero kung lithium battery, siguruhin nyo na tugma ang charging voltage na galing sa car battery charger sa specs ng lithium battery.
