I just got this pen and they changed stuff in later revision. 1. The cap won't make mouse noise when it's closed, it has fit like how Pilot has 2. The logo in the fennial had changed, looks less painful 3. The engraving on the nib is WINGS SUPER QUALITY (ripoff from PILOT SUPER QUALITY) 4. I noticed that WingSung use transparent plastic on the cap liner. Pilot use opaque plastic as cap liner. I prefer wingsung's revision since the nib is visible. Wingsung or Yongsheng, means eternal life

I enjoy using my Pilot Prera with fine nib. I was also surprised by how dry the Prera writes, but the nib is so well tuned and consistent that it's not noticable. Does the Wing Sung's cap post post on the back of the pen as well as the Prera?

I might have only just figured out that annoying cap travel on the WS3003. I have a stupidly large number of them and the cap felt loose on quite a few, at least to the point where the cap spins as you showed but sometimes worse, where there is visible movement in and out once the nib is fully home in the inner cap. I was about to trash the loose ones because there's no way that would prevent drying out when I noticed the metal ring at the base of the nib was loose, at the very end of the nib section. This actually unscrews. By pulling out the nib and feed then removing and refitting that small metal ring as tight as my arthritic fingers will allow, it seems to have made the whole mechanism much tighter and hopefully a better seal. Still spins but appears to be a lot more snug. Maybe see if yours would benefit from the same surgery?

Very nice review. I am not sure, but I may have one of these coming via the slow boat from China. Or maybe I already have it in another brand of the Hero conglomerate. It looks like the "Liseur 105" I have, that I think was sold as a Wing Sung 3003 demonstrator. If so, it's a great pen for the price, as well. I'm fairly impressed with the Wing Sung pens I have gotten. My personal favourite is the 6100, a black and rose gold with a serious Parker 61 vibe (cartridge converter not Aerometric.) I carry it daily, and the lacquer finish is starting to go on the bottom finial, so I'm looking at appliance paint to touch it up. It's an incredible pen for the $4 I paid for it! Keep up the great reviews! You are one of the 3 people who I look forward to discovering new pens from.

Updating some earlier thoughts. After finding a source of a small number of Pilot-style winged medium nibs, albeit branded Wing S, transplanting them onto several WS3003s turns them into even better writers. Frustratingly though, the solid colour models are no longer anywhere to be seen. The demonstrators have been so ubiquitous now that I'd like to see something different. A return to the original solid colours would do that.

We Americans are adept at creating new and nonsensical words, i.e. "butterly", lol. I will definitely be using that one in the future James. 😉

By June of 2020, I can't find a reliable source for the Wing Sung 3003, and none at all in the solid colors. I ordered a Wing Sung 3003 from Wish, and wound up getting a pen marked as a "Liseur 105" on the cap. I've had to file disputes on two Wing Sung 3003 pens that I've never received! I like my Pilot Prera, a lot, and the Liseur 105 is a nice pen, for what it's worth, but I can't seem to get my hands on an actual Wing Sung 3003 to try it! I've got an order in now through eBay for a set of 5 of the clear ones with color accents. We'll see if they ever get here!
