Friends, today I am sharing Makhaniya Gathiya Recipe. Gathiya is very popular Gujarati snack item. There are some popular varieties in which Gathiya are made in Saurashtra region and Gujarat. Fafda and Vanela Gathiya are the most popular varieties. Fafda Gathiya are also known as Pata Gathiya. Other popular Gathiya are Bhavnagri Gathiya, Tikha Gathiya and Makhaniya Gathiya. Today in this video I have presented a perfect method of making Makhaniya Gathiya at home. This gathiya can be stored up to 15 days. With fried green chilies and hot tea this Gathiya makes a perfect combination for morning snack or evening snack. I hope you would like this recipe to try at home.

INGREDIENTS
250 grams besan (बेसन)
½ cup peanut oil (तेल)
½ cup water (पानी)
½ tsp salt (नमक)
¼ tsp papad kharo (पापड़ खार)
½ tsp crushed black pepper (काली मिर्च)
½ tsp ajwain (अजवाइन)
Green chilies (हरी मिर्च)
Tea (चाय)

Dimpalben, yes, you di not need jara here... Though you may not get besan flour there what I used here in this recipe.... Everything to make perfect fafda is to use besan flour used by farsan shop and exact weight/measurements of ingredients

@@TheKitchenSeries Hi ma'am, I live in Bengaluru and got Besan flour from Dmart. It didn't turn out to be like your's. Mine came crispy and soft. Is it a different besan which is used to make gathiya? If you can tell which brand you use please. 🙂

@@NishantTaunk I bought besan from Farsan Shop for this video. Farsan Shopkeepers use wholesale besan (I think Annapurna Brand) which is double refined flour. Those brands are also different than we usually get in retail market (ગાય, UTTAM & FORTUNE are common). I suggest to use Uttam Brand besan....by which you can make it nearly good Gathiya...and in banglore, it is nearly impossible to find any Gujarati Farsan Shop, so you will not find besan of any wholesale brand. Thanks.
