My sentiments EXACTLY. His acting on Moonlight was scene-stealing. I figured he has a bright future if he picked his roles carefully. And keep his head above water and not get dragged down into the Hollywood gutter. Because Hollywood can definitely kill you. Figuertivelly and literally.

This is how you make everyone fall in love with you not by putting on fancy clothes or lookin beautiful but by your work, by thissss. So Proud of him tbh, he totally deserved it for his role. Even tho we can never relate to the things that those 5 went thru actors like him open the gate to thier emotions for us and the way thay he potrayed his character it broke my heart. I REALLY HOPE HE GO BIG FROM HERE. Best of luck mate ✋👍

I didn't see this film, I want to but I can't bring myself to sit through it. One day I will have the courage and strength to get through it all. I'm glad that he won however, and as already stated, he represented very well. Good job Jharrell Jerome.

Tonya R Moore you are right ! It was super hard to watch. I cried the entire time (and sometimes often wanted to scream and was super angry) but it was important to watch this mini-series!

TheScorpion Queen I you go to the interviews he did for "when they see us" he was asked the question at least once from my memory but I think it was more than that, but he answered that question. I wish I could remember which interview but I'm sure you will find it if you look up his interviews.

You don’t have to be The Dominican republican to be Afro Latino. You can be black and be from any Latin country and fall under the category of Afro Latino.
