Man… if I would’ve heard this during my hard times that lingered from the end of 2022 to April 2023, I would’ve been fucked up for real and I been heard this song years ago but when you’re going through things, THIS kind of music hits different and you become more familiar with the pain. Back then I was so torn. He was my best friend. I wanted more for us and I always dreamed of us being together forever. We were best friends but sometimes acted as a couple. Once things started to shift, it was like I was watching him no longer love me. I was blamed for our friendship falling apart, I was blamed for the absence I created because I always had to work in order to keep a roof over my head and I had the finger pointed at me when a lie took place because of a misunderstanding. It was the worst thing I could ever experience in almost my entire decade of knowing him and suddenly I was looked at as the enemy. He trusted everyone else including who he started to sleep with over me and they weren’t a thing yet at the time. We were supposed to be better than this but he wanted something different and went about it in the most painful way possible. Now living in the present, months after.. he apologized and within 6+ weeks he ended the friendship. Nothing but love and time wasted on the one I thought could be mine and could lift me up but life has is crazy learning experiences that cost you something you can’t get back.
