Her dad's a black Islander i believe and her maternal grandma was creole (she looks brown skinned, not Steph Curry's mom level) so that's where the white came from. Culturally, she grew up American Black and Japanese.

dreamytay I think you misunderstood me, I wasn’t comparing the albums to each other. I was saying, Chilombo just might be the album that is a defining moment for Jhene as an artist, just like the other albums I mentioned. TLC’s masterpiece album was CrazySexyCool, Janet’s defining album was The Velvet Rope, Lemonade for Beyonce. Chilombo is doing exactly what the other albums did for their audience: MADE A STATEMENT! 👌🏾
