Murari bgm is one of the all-time greats of Tollywood. No could have done it better than Maniji. This film perfectly captures the essence of Telugu culture or Telugudanam itself. Be it the recurring abheri ragam based bgm in the aseervadam-taking scene at the beginning/climax credit roll, or the plainitive pantuvaraali-ragam based pathos bgm scored with naadaswaram/sannayi in the climax, when Mahesh is in the throes of death and bamma-garu cogitates and takes the momentous decision to sacrifice her life for her manavadu. Whenever I feel cut off from my Telugu roots from the stultifying nonsense of modernity, I watch this movie to enliven my jaded soul. This apart, the movie boasts of other beautiful bgms like "manam pelli chesesukundam murari" one, "i'll not die until i rescue vasu" sankalpam bgm in the temple(hamsa-naadham ragam with male chorus) or the inspiringly modern bgm.when murari is travelling with his mom on water(tera-chaapa or something) on his maiden visit to lakshmi's puttillu. And the by the way, the subtle bgm when lakshmi is scolded by her husband for insisting on going to her parent's house and the subsequent conciliating of her by the latter. All.I have to say is "emani varninchanu"....about this rasa-bharita movie. All thanks to Manisarma anna.

He worked with many music directors.Now a days music become very commercial, and directors and audience area attracting to it. I agree, change is necessary from time to time, but do experiment or renovate the music with latest trend but keep the core of telugu (indian classical) flavor on it. In India, we have very good blends of ancient cultural music like Karnatic, Hindustani etc. don't forget our heritage and cultural music by addicting to some other western music totally.Mani sir, is the one who adopts latest trendy music wrapped with core traditional music aspects via fusion or any other forms. Hattsoff to you sir, for doing such a wonderful music with core Indian music. Now in telugu music each and every song come with lot of bass and energetic songs, I agree, but honestly question yourself, how many songs are really reminds in our heart for years together. Only few music directors have such a gifted composing talent, I will say Mani sharma is not yet used by the directors completely.all are running behind commerciality and temporary hits, and the music composers who are worked under mani shama use his name in front of media to become famous and use his name again behind the screens in the other way with directors to grab his opportunities.
