卓玛姐姐是我唯一的藏族朋友。她在土耳其参加一个演出，唱了这首歌。当时虽然很多人都听不懂歌词，但是她的声音的独特的魅力打动了所有观众的心。此后我也经常听这首歌，想把它背下来。下次跟卓玛姐见面的时候给她唱、呵呵。 :-)

I don't understand the meaning of this pretty song; however, I like her beautiful alto voice very much. Her low pretty voice is soothing accompanied by the sounds of banhu or cello. I wish I can buy her CD. Thanks to upload her voice and video in KZfaq.

In conclusion, Chinese cultures have been consisted of many layers, comlexed with many tribal, local, culture, which came from Tibetan, Mongolian, korean, Japanese, and others. A single culture is not a whole, same entity. I'm Rukyuan. The style of dance , which Jam yang is dancing with the movement of hands and feet is very similar to Rukyuyan. Music is one of cultural phenomena. China is a cotinent which hold many local, ethnic culture.The song Jam yang sings seemingly from Tibetan belong to Chinese songs because of lyrics are Chinese. Please donot be exclusive from other culture. Modern world needs this view point.

This beautiful song actually reflects the complexity of Chinese history and people. China and Tibet were separate countries before Genghis Khan conquered both of them and created the Yuan Dynasty 700+ years ago. As Khan appreciated Tibetan Buddhism, Tibetans were a preferred ethnic. In return, most Tibet people likes Mongolian. This Tibet singer sings this and many other Mongolian songs in mandarin. The lyrics of this song was written by a poet, who is a Mongolian descendant and lives in Taiwan. She expresses her deep love to her motherland, i.e, the Mongolian Plateau, but she also feels sad that she can not speak her mother tongue. Chinese people are lucky because they can enjoy the arts created from their multi-ethnic rich history and culture.

Han-china is not the original descendants of this region. The Word Han is known to the western is their verbal record. The western say Han as Khan. There is several language especially two from Korean and English which is daily used. Pro & con. KKuwa-Bae-Ghy(Ccoda/kkoda). They might be a mixed breed gene or ill-behaved frauds. To make Ro-Pe, two strains of materials/thread need to be twisted and rolled in a shape of ball to weave a belt or cloth . It means that Khan/twisted, Belt, kkn /big are same origin, very ancient nomadic nature herders. we need to study DNA. Invaders disguised as merchants through the Land Herders' routes and sea route. they destroyed history, books and created new genes as animal killers skills. Once they occupied someone's land feeling guilty and begin worshiping gods( Cheaters with sheep skins). Only children story and songs are genuine history of the victims.

@hae kim. i do not understand why are you putting such emphasis on history and especially ethnic identities. if you want national unity and peace among all ethnic groups, then you must overlook the past. forgive and forget the wrongs and evils of the past. learning history is important. once we know the truth, we shall and must not repeat the same mistake by the previous leaders. lets not harbor deep hatred toward other ethnic group or race because of historical conflict. we are living in the present and hoping to avoid massive pain and suffering in the FUTURE. lets work toward a more peaceful and a joyous future together. think of literature, music and culture without borders as our goal.
