I hate that In the end, it just hits me that they wasted so so so many years living the way other people wanted them to instead of living the way they wanted to. All those years that could have been spent with each other was instead spent being lonely and in pain. And in the end they talk to each other, admitting to what they couldn't admit all those years ago. And because he didn't admit it back then, it came at a cost. Losing each other for all those years.

This film was everything beautiful and sad and bittersweet all wrapped in one. Imagine finding your soul mate in the wrong time....sigh. Beautiful everything, phenomenal acting, directing and the cinematography was spot on.

This movie is definitely engraved in my heart for forever. I never got over from this movie. It's stuck in heart.

That movie felt like a dagger made of dry ice slowly driven into my heart. And instead of the agonizing pain it felt warm and cold and good and sad. And all those sensations, all those feelings poored inside me, one by one as the dagger melted inside.

I loved that in the end they said 'wa'an' to each other multiple times as if they were trying to make up for all those years they lost that could have been spend with each other.... It was their way of saying 'I love you' but at the same time not really saying it for the fear all those emotions would end up bubbling out. *In the movie there is a scene were it says that 'wa'an'(sorry if the spelling is wrong) that originally translates to 'Good night' in Chinese has a different hidden meaning too that is 'I love you'. Ohhh that scene was so beautiful and heart-breaking at the same time.

This movie was one of the movies I can keep watching again and again, and every time, i cry harder and harder, it’s a masterpiece.

The best part for me in this beautiful will always be when A- Han wants to prevent Birdy got beaten by his father And of course that painful telephone call he did..and told Birdy to listen to a song..😔😔😪

This movie is so great... I usually watch movies for enjoyment... But this movie has just shaken me from inside... Especially that telephone scene I really felt that scene that was so heartbreaking I couldn't even cry on that...

this is one of my fav films and one of the few films (and i'm a complete film guru who watches a million istg) that has made me feel horrible, aching and painful emotions when it finished i think about this film so much it's not funny, sometimes i spend a little while away from it but i always come back and get wrapped up in in the raw emotion and heart wrenching plot the actors portrayed. This movie is a masterpiece if i've ever watched one. I want to show it to everyone but i'm to nervous because of the homosexuality even though I am Bi myself i'm surrounded by homophobia and another thing that pains me is the fact that people won't even take a second glance at trying a film based off there own negative stereotypes of beliefs god it makes me hate the human race. (most things do) lols this was an unnecessary paragraph but i needed to type it out idc such a fucking good film. I DONT GIVE A SHIT IF YOUR HOMPHOBIC IDGAS IF YOUR CHRISTIAN IDGAS IF YOU DONT LIKE ROMANCE FILMS I WANT EVERY HUMAN TO SEE THIS FILM OMG

Just...don’t fucking call this masterpiece a “BL” and reduce its worth. It’s a heartbreakingly real love story, and that’s what it should be referred to as. Being labelled BL just puts it in the same category as a lot of other, lesser movies/series and it takes away its value.

I can´t explain how hard this film has hit me, because is a real love story and they couldn´t live it by themselves. This story makes me so so sad i could cry all days. I just want to hug them and tell them that everything it´s okey and they can love each other no matter what.

The angst in this movie was so palatable. I have literally never seen it done this well since. How do they repeatedly draw on that level of emotion only for the director to yell cut at the end? I would be emotionally raw. Like I think I would lowkey harbor resentment towards my cast-mate even after the scene was over. It's not something I could turn off or redo 100 times. I'd be mad the rest of that day lol. And probably the next.

It's so painful when Jian was smoking, yelling, crying, shouting..in classroom with father. I felt the pain n urge he had to kill himself at tht moment. Tht was one of the weakest moment when people can end their grief . So many legendary moments n song. I can't stop praising. If any movie can make me cry tht much.. it's worth praising.

This was such a hard movie to watch. That's why I only remember the feel of the movie, not the details. Mostly, I just remember the anger and frustration at the lack of courage of the one who was loved - no matter how understandable - and the anguish it wreaked on the one who loved. People only write about what the two guys lost because society wouldn't allow them to be their true selves. But the woman also lost years and a chance at true love and happiness, living instead a life where she was never really loved in return. And this situation continues to be a reality for millions around the world. Another human-made, human-imposed misery.
