She is definitely a beautiful and graceful performer, and also very competitive, to be able to do her program after her great rival Mao and being last skater, just wow.

@@paulakato4013 her lutz is not a flutz, watched it in 0.25x speed. Though the GOE given to her compared to what Mao received in her lutz was questionable.

@@paulakato4013 She doesn't have flutz. Her lutz edge isn't ideal but it isn't flutz either. It's slightly outside/flat. Please educate yourself before commenting.

That Lutz is a straight edge, not clear outside edge as Map. Why it has 2.21 GOE 4-5? Some do explain to me?

You should watch 2:00 slow mo you can see her lutz is outside edge its just not that deep. But she got good height and toe pic.

flip was ok, agree that the lutz overscored. Judges rarely call flutzes correctly so I'm not surprised.

Her flip edge is correct. Her lutz edge isn't deep outside but it's still outside (or flat at worst). But it definitely didn't deserve the goe.

So happy for Jia. 🥰 But just know that Mao will land another home run in the Free… It’s inevitable, I guess. With a quad and a triple axel, she will always remain unbeatable. Until the Russians come back into the fold again….

Unless she has under rotations.. she had a few during the youth Olympics.. if she keeps to her best levels then will win! Jia is true competition.

@@KP-zd3hcNo please. Jia is still a junior. Her body isn't developed yet, and jumping 3A and quad is just going to make her injure herself. She is continuing the right path. No offense to Mao, I love her, but if she continues jumping 3A and quads I don't think she can even make it to her first senior season. We've already seen that with Rika, Young and Russian skaters who jumped 3A and quads. None of them were able to have a long career.

@@TheProdef Well I personally see a a very clear full blade assistance, and also an inside edge. These are not characteristics of a proper lutz. Specifically, at 4:54 the blade, at 2:02 the edge

@@dragicefsaddctd The blade outside the toepick never touches the ice, it is deep, yes, but compared to "full blade assistance" it still utilizes the toepick for the jump. The edge is NOT inside (reminder that edge is different than angle of the ankle). It is shallow (not _deep_ outside edge), I agree, but nowhere near inside (look at other Lutzes from the competition which got called e. Even you will the difference.)
