Season 1 episode 2: The Jib League Mountain Mansion
Alaia Parks, Crans Montana, SWITZERLAND
7 qualifiers from the Open Jam (open to all ages, genders and abilities) meet 12 world class pros and the 3 founders Oystein Braten, Ferdinand Dahl and James Woodsy.
The Pro Sessions:
- x3 1.5 hour jam sessions on 3 diverse features over 3 days.
- After a rough cut viewing of the day's jam each evening, each skier gets to anonymously vote for their personal opinions on the day's: 1st, 2nd & 3rd - no discussion.
- 1st = 3 points, 2nd = 2 points, 3rd = 1 point
- To find the most well rounded skier of the week, the skier with the most points over the whole week is crowned champion.

This is what skiing is about boys! Love it!!! These guys have unreal talent. When you compare it to us that competed in the mid to late 2000s it’s crazy to see the progression. Most of all the smoothness/effortlessness in which they make it. I knew instantly when Jon Olsson started throwing the “kangaroo” flip my time was over. I’m crazy but “I’m not gonna throw doubles” type of crazy!

Not sure how it all went down, but it seemed like Wacko had one great session, and consequentially got a bunch of 3+ which basically guaranteed the win. I feel like it would be more fair to reduce the amount of points given according to the amount of votes gotten. That way you don't create an uncloseable gap, and the better all around skier from the 3 sessions would get the W. I made an excel spreadsheet of this point system I have in mind. The formula is simply: Total points=(points for position)(Number of votes)^0.8... You can try it out or I can send the excel file if you want. I'd love to. Anyway. As i said I wasn't there and I don't know how it went down. Not hating on Wacko at all.

this competition format is just beautiful! would be amazing if you maybe could show the names more frequently, as an outstanding viewer it’s sometimes hard to keep track of all the skiers outfits especially if they change it during the jams
