could you please tell me the distance from the reel seat to the butt? i am a 6ft guy and to perform a machanical jigging action smoothly i like the bigger butt sections rather the rods made for smaller japanase frames.

it's 470mm from the seat to the butt. I'm 6ft and 115kg and i find it great to jig with. Like you i find rods hard to jig with if you cant get the butt section under the arm

Keith Sullivan Yes Keith, im running 50lb braid on my PE3 reel on that rod. The rod will easy handle it.
