BIG CRAPPIE are in the CREEKS! Fishing Post Cold Front

Early spring means BIG weather changes! But, you CAN still catch BIG crappie! Today I’m fishing the same spot featured in my previous upload. But....there’s some BIG differences. 67 degrees last trip, 42 today. Blue bird skies last trip, overcast today. 30 mph wind gusts last trip, dead calm today. That’s the stuff you can expect when it’s early spring. I’m fishing regardless. Originally, I had planned on fishing a small pond, but, the wind wasn’t in my favor for that. So, back to creek I went. Honestly, I wasn’t sure how the drastic weather change would effect these crappie. So, I went in with low expectations.

Can’t believe I missed this video msn I ABSOLUTELY love creek fishing! We have multiple species and you catch a bit of everything I never caught as many crappie though. I gotta try your technique for sure you were slaying them making it look easy I definitely have to go visit my favorite creek

Creek fishing was the grass roots of my fishing passion. Used to ride my bike to Creeks around the town I grew up in and fish for creek chubs and yellow bellies. Glad you caught this one, brother! Lemme know how you do on your creek adventure!

I usually like to tip my jig with a nibble when it gets tough and they wont bite the cork at all. Usally will get me a few bites I wouldn't have gotten other wise

Nibbles and KVD shad/crawfish scent. The extra due to saliva from mouth on the line and near lure. Seems to work at times.

Great Video! My pre-spawn crappie moved out because of a cold front too. Spent the whole day yesterday looking for some with no luck. Maybe it's because I just got my GoPro back from a warranty claim and was trying to get a video made for my channel! I did subscrib! Happy Fishing!

Well, there’s several answers to that question. Prolly the best answer is just experience on the waters you regularly fish. A bit of insight from friends here and there helps to.

Not looking for exact location just a question, does that creek dump into a main river or lake just a mile or so down stream or does that matter? Do you have to fish with PANTS ON THE GROUND?!

I fish a couple creeks just like this in Ohio, some of the most enjoyable fishing for crappie there is! By the way what size rod is that? Been looking at them, thinking about pulling the trigger and getting one

Hello ! Mr. Jake. I’m a big fan of your KZfaq video’s. I’m a 58 year old man from Montgomery Alabama. The lord put it on my heart to ask you for your help please. I had a storage house fire and I lost all my fishing equipment due to that fire and I lost my job that I had for 25 years due to someone had the virus on the job and it shut down for good due to that and I have no money to purchase anymore fishing equipment. My church pastor gave me one of his crappie spinning rod and reel combo. Will you please help me out with some crappie hair jigs in the 1/16oz and 1/8oz and some crappie lures please.
