Lots of cool techniques Jack with the jigsaw base, making your own extended drill bit, dowel for the center pivot, bandsaw sled, threaded rod and coupling nut adjuster and the snap swivel. You put it all together in one video. So much to take in. Thanks once again for sharing.

Great work; love the snap idea! My only change would be adding a nut on the other side of the post as well, so the thread is locked & the post is "sandwiched." That way the jigsaw won't move from OR toward the post & you can just spin it. 👍

Thanks. Instead of a dowel for the spindle, I used a piece of 2x2; with all flat surfaces, I was able to use wing nuts, washers, and T-nuts at both ends (spindle & sled) for a simpler build. Now, on to cutting a 14" circle for my son's bass guitar speaker cabinet...

I've seen several circle cutting jigs, but this is the first one for jigsaw. Very nice! One question: I would have opted for a threaded insert to go in the dowel piece instead of squeezing a hex nut in. Was there any reason for that, other than simply using what was handy?
